Alright, if you read the entry before this, you'll probably know why it's been a few weeks since I've written in it again. I've been thinking constantly, yadda yadda, tonight, she gave me another couple of thoughts to wrap my head around. This is among one of those times where guys regret that the little myth we only think with our head between our legs, is only a freaking myth.
"D?"
She once again asks, not innocent, no more sweet than normal, just a curious question.
"Yes Winter?"
"How many people do you want to celebrate with after the war?"
"Not very many, I'll be probably be as worn as I was when you came into the fight between me and Carnaso. I'll probably just want to relax a few days. Have a little R&R time with you."
"What about our friends over in the human world?"
"They won't miss us too much if we're gone for three more days. Than normal, we can just say the war had a few minor things left and we just took care of it while we were there."
The wolves were beginning to surround the both of us, I was beginning to wonder what was going on.
"D, do you really want to go back?"
"Winter, I don't know. I really just want this stupid war to end."
"But do you want to go back, or do you want to stay here?"
"Winter, what are you asking?"
"I want to stay here D, and I'd really like it if you stayed here with me."
"You want me to stay here with you and your wolves."
She shook her head yes.
"Winter, go to sleep, we've got a few more weeks of battle, we've made a lot of headway. We keep up our force and the war will be over with in a few weeks. There's a super-strong demon running them all, we'll be facing him soon I can feel it. We take him out, the war's over. As for me staying here, I don't know, I can't give you an answer yet."
She began to make a few sniffling sounds. I was at her side in an instant, sharing my blanket. The pack had us surrounded and began to get ready for sleep, knowing we were sharing a blanket.
"Winter, don't cry. C'mon, I'll stay by your side. I just don't know if I want to stay here or not."
I hugged her from behind and kissed her neck, beings how that was the only available skin.
She began to hum a slow, sweet melody, nothing like what JP hummed, but it was even better. I slowly drifted away, holding her close. The wolves did the same.
"I love you Winter."
