Sorry for not coming up with anything lately.
I had no motives, really.
Or, none I could put to words.
But, I finally got something down.

What Game Today?
It’s a brand new day,
What game do we play?

Is today a masquerade?
Should I get my mask,
While, in your own arrogance, you bask?

Or is it a day of hide-and-seek?
Where you hide who you are
And keep me at afar.

I want to play truth or dare.
I know you’ll pick dare,
Because the truth is something you can’t bear.

The dare is simple.
I dare you to tell me your lies
Of what and how many people.
Show me what lay behind your cold eyes.

I don’t want to play your games,
I’d rather watch your lies go up in flames.

Because you’re not who you said,
You’re cold, harsh, a liar.
Look ahead,
See the fire.
