well, I live there and I witnessed it.
Our town is still devastated and our downtown is still ruined. It's going to take years for everything to get back to how it was...if it ever even can.
I know several people who lost their houses from the flood, including one of my mom's good friends. She had to stay with us for a while.
It was extremely horrible, and I can't believe I lived through a piece of history. Through all the horribleness of it, I still think it was pretty exciting to know that I lived through a piece of national history and a historic but devastating event.
So if you live in Iowa, or even in Cedar Rapids, post here and tell me. That'd be really cool to be able to see if anyone else here went through the same thing I did.
