She looked longingly up into the night sky, waiting for day to break. Silence enveloped the room, and the only source of light was a dim lamp at the far end of the room. City lights shrouded the stars and pollution created a foul smell throughout the nation. She despised many things, but maybe it just wasn't only her. Many people she saw holding up signs about this horrible world, marching and singing disgustfully. She understood that they were standing up for what was the best, but barley anyone noticed them. "They're wasting time and energy..." She would say and slam the door to block most of the noise added by them. "Why don't they actually do something, other than yell other peoples problems?!" She faintly yelled, then calmed down and sat down again. As the people began to leave, she slowly began to open up the window, and listen to the animals chirp and sing before humans came and ruin it. Cars started to pass down the streets first one by one, then more at a time. She abruptly shut the window again, and rised out of her seat to venture upstairs.
Upstairs wasn't any different, except noise was almost completely invisible there. She picked up one of her dusty journals from on top of a bureau, blowed the dust off it and slowly walked back downstairs.
She held the empty journal in the fingertips of both of her hands, and threw it across the room. "Eh, it's a waste of time anyway. Almost time for work." She said, changing attitude.
Within minutes, she walked out of her door the the world outside, t-shirt on and faded jeans, holding a case with an unknown object in it. She walked steadily down the street, and arrived at an almost- decent apartment. The rang the doorbell three times, to be greeted by a man who looked like he had just woken up. "Oh, sorry Hana. Kinda just woke up....but you can come in if you don't mind." He said half-asleep. "Oh, I don't mind." She said while laughing slightly. When she entered she didn't follow the man but walked down the hall into the living room and sat down on the couch, put her case down and wait. Within a few minutes the man came into the room, dressed in casual clothes looking decent enough. "So, the plans tonight are to play at this bar seven pm, but arrive at three pm to practice." He said while handing her a paper. "That's fine, but is it ok if I go there now? Because I have nothing else to do today so I'll just hang out there." "Sure, but be careful 'aight?" He said, but not really caring what she does. "Yeah yeah, whatever Demi." She said, waving her hand. She picked up her case and left the room with Demi sitting alone on the couch.
I've been siting in this bar for hours, and I rather have stayed home. This is sooo boring!! She thought holding her head up with one of her hands. Hana heard the door jingle, so she turned around to see if it was someone that she knew, even though it was only one pm. "Yo, Hana!" The man yelled "Hey, Westy what's up??" She yelled back, giving a high-five. "So we're performing here tonight?" "Yea, seems so. But I've been here for hours and it's like, dead." "Not when we play baby!!!!" He yelled into the air, pounding his fist on the table as you both laughed. Hana and Westy talked until the other members came to tune up. After a couple hours of tunning, talking and laughing, the time to perform had come. She put her black case on the ground, opened it and gently took out her electric guitar. Now, she was more happy than ever. Whenever she got to play she felt this. The other members, Demi, Westy, Yutsu and Blue took out their and put together once again their Drums, Keyboard and Electric Bass. The bar there was never so ecstatic. Everyone was dancing and complementing the band, Hana played the best that she could.
After the performance was over, they packed up and said their goodbyes, "Until another night!" They yelled. Hana made her way back to her house, until another time where she could be happy, and show her true feelings...through music.
