We as humans tend to want to simplify difficult matters, moreso men than women. The subject of "How to get a girl" is in nature, a very difficult thing to do, let alone understand. We, the common man, hope to create a reaction in another person of the opposite sex. Almost, like trying to control them. You cannot befriend a girl, be friends for awhile, and expect them to want to go out with you. <- but wait, that in itself is a contracdiction to the previous statement!

We over estimate, we underestimate, and in that process we fail to realize that all people are different. You can't stereotype the entire female gender, and you also cannot attempt to simplify them by lumping certain ones into certain categories. Get this: women are people too. They have their own mind, and will ultimately decide for themselves whether you are worth their time or not.

And i'm lonely too, by the way. Try as I might, I realized myself that being friends without immediately laying your "I may want to date you" card will just confuse them.
What's the solution? There is no blanket solution for all women, contary to what Hollywood tries to tell you. Different things work for different people.
