Pretending to be a kid, much young than myself can be very difficult. The way the speech among children as changed since i was their age, its incredible. Who would have known that saying 'Whats up dog' would mean hello. It's truly odd to me. When i was a teenager, in the 1940s, the terms were far from what they are now. Women then were broads now their shorty. Who knows.

I stepped into my homeroom/first period class after getting my schedule and took a seat in the far right part of the room. Not many people had joined me in going to class early. There were only two other teens sitting in the room. A boy, about five foot six inches, with dark black hair but it was slicked into something i think is called a faux hawk. He sat slumped in his desk. He was wearing a tight pair of black jeans and a just as tight red shirt. From where i sat i could see he had large holes in his ears, about the size of a dime in each ear lobe and a few more going through other parts of the ear.

The other was a girl. She was right next to the boy, and they were both in front of me. She had shoulder length brown hair, that was straightened and then curled at the ends. She was a few inches shorted than the boy and an inch or so wider. She wore a pink tank top and a dark blue denim skirt, so short that if she bent over anyone could see her business. Although the questionable clothing choice, her muscles were finally toned in her arms and legs. I fingered she played some type of sport, most likely softball or volleyball, two very popular sports for women these days.

I came back to reality, after watching there movements, i noticed a few more of the students had filled in some empty desks. Looked forward i noticed the boy i had described had turned around to me. "You new here?" he asked swinging a leg over the top of the chair to face me. "Yes." I replied looking at the boy. The female had turned to look at me two, i feared she would sit the same way he had, but she only moved her head. "Cool. Well, I'm Tatum and this is Campbell." He stuck out his hand and i hesitantly took it. "Nath- Nate." He said stopping myself. "Very nice to meet you both." I continued. "You too." he said, his hazel eyes smiling separately from his lips.

The classroom filled up further and the teacher began to talk, i didn't listen knowing what she was saying, mostly about how the year would go and how she would teach things that went on when i was a child and new better than she did herself. When the bell rang I started to walk down the hall before feeling Genvieve's presence at my arm. "Meet anyone you might like to make dinner?" she asked with a half kidding grin. "No one that seems appetizing." I replied hoping to have her lose the subject. "So you met people. Its a start." she laughed and turned into a room on my right almost as if she wasn't there. I walked to my next class, noticing Campbell sitting in the same spot she had been in in the other classroom.
