here's a poem I actually wrote:
I am the cat that stares at you from under the car. Watching you, always watching. Do you fear me? Now I'm under your bed. I'm still watching, always watching. Do you fear me? And when you're asleep I come out and sit at the end of your bed. I watch you, always watching you. Do you fear me? My eyes stare with the red intensity of rubies. Filled with sadness. Filled with knowledge. Do you remember me? Watching, always watching. Have you forgotten our love? The memories we share? You wake up. I watch, always watching. You remember. You forgot to feed me again.
And here's the same poem modified by Weast:
I am the cat that stares at you from under the carton of milk. Watching you, always watching. Do you fear me? Now I'm under your bed. I'm still watching, always watching. Do you fear me? And when you're asleep I come out and sit at the end of your tuna. I watch you, always watching you. Do you fear me? My eyes stare with the red velocity of rubies. Filled with sardines. Filled with purple thighs. Do you regrow me? Watching, always watching. Have you forsaken our lurbe? The pickles we share? You wake up. I watch, always watching. You remember. You forgot to dance like some corn again.
