The Love poem to one now lost |

|
Dream, dream and you will see
this fairy tale made for you and me.
Just close your eyes and you will believe
there is a love so true...
between me and you.
She watched the sweetest love fade,
The sad little girl had run away.
The story came to a bitter end,
Leaving only another empty page.
Closing the storybook,
She felt her last tear fall
Like crystal onto the cover
Finally she had lost it all.
She could see that it all ended too fast,
That there was nothing she could do.
Try as she might,
She couldn’t change the past.
This is a loss that never should have come to be.
Is there no happy ending for a sad girl like me?
Something has changed, the light I once had began to fade. My world began to turn so black, when you decided to turn your back.
Had something I said offended you so? Had I done something wrong that made you go? Tell me I beg you, I just want to know.
I sit alone in the dark, alone by the phone. I wait for your call, only to end up alone. My tears of sorrow fall, like crystal, to the floor in an empty room with no door.
Tell me, please, what went wrong? Why must I sit here and sing only sad songs. I miss you, you know it's true. I miss you so much but there is nothing I can do.
My light has faded, to a dim little glow. My heart is breaking from this pain and sorrow.
But when I thought there was no turning back, I found a new reason to fill the empty crack. My heart is broken, yes this is so, but even now it is beginning to regrow.
Take your pity, take your false love, take your lies, and your goodbyes. I am happy, I am strong, I am safe, I have risen above.
My dream of you is just a memory, a dream I once loved, a story that finally has an ending.
