Heh, well yet another path of death and destruction is unleashed. I have been watching the news recently and saw that the detective force believe that there are at least two of those "Deathnote" books in downtown Japan. Well, they are wrong. They were one short...for a while. I was lucky enough to generously get one of these books, for a Shinigami called Deridovely. I cannot tell you where I am now, but I will, because after the story is over the only thing I can tell you is the ending!

~Five Years Earlier~

"Damn! Not another exam!" I yelled while tripping over my own feet to get to school fast enough, while looking at my roster. "Why today??" I said under my breath while I stumbled fastly into the school. As soon as I sat in my seat, the bell rang, so I knew I was at least safe from that...until the teacher put the test on my desk. Mr. Horoshi yelled, "Make sure you studied everyone, this will count for a large amount of your grade." "Ugh..." I said as I banged my head on the desk. I looked back and noticed one student, Light Yagami. He was so interesting...my scores were just under his, so I really didn't like him. Everyone is surprised I can get above genius grades, because I barley study. But I am busy trying to figure out little mysteries of this horrible community. And besides, it give me some extra cash for investigation tools. My idol, well it was one that is known through almost all Japan. L. He has solved every bad crime, I would do anything to see him, because, no one has. "Done.." Light said as he got up, handed the test to the teacher in the front of the room, and left outside the doors. I looked at my paper, and saw I was also done. "Tsk..." I hissed under my breath to hand my paper in. Below him again! I went outside to find and congratulate him. "Oh, hello Natsumi. Finished the test?" He said quietly. "No, I just snuck out because I was tired of it...what do you think, Light?" "No need for sarcasm, Chihiro. I didn't say anything that bad." "Well, Yagami, I'm going to go. Good luck with being perfect and everything..." I said sarcastically as I walked away.

~Light's P.O.V~

Damn...why can't I say anything but insults?! She's the smartest girl in the school, and she's also very beautiful...
"Agh!!!" I yelled while throwing my head into my hands, while Natsumi turned around and look at me curiously, "Light are you alright?" "Oh, sorry yes. Um, Natsumi I as wondering if you...wanted to play tennis with me some time? Because every one else scared to play me because I am that good.
Smooth, Light. Just don't make this sound wrong. You've got this.
"Oh, wait! Why am I asking you? You probably would just lose anyway..." I said with a smirk. "Oh really?!? Bring it on girly man!!!" Natsumi yelled bad at me.

~The next day, Natsumi's P.O.V~

Sigh...why did I get into this. Well, I hope no one will be watching us play, because only then Light will have the satisfaction of winning...But now that I think about it...Light sounded nervous when he asked me at first...maybe he trying...to ask me on a date??? Hm...I'll save that investigation for later...
I thought, while walking down the street to the school's tennis courts. "Hello, Natsumi, and get ready to lose." Light said, with a slight chuckle.
