Surprise Surprise
Times have been so tough with my mom and siblings that I was up to my neck with it. I was getting so frustrated, so overwhelmed, so stressed that I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to run away, but there was nowhere near to run to. Getting away was my next option.
First, I called Eddie to ask if I can come over last night. He was shocked; we weren't planning on seeing each other for another six weeks! I told him I found rides to and from there, so he agreed. He also said that his roommates didn't mind that I spend the night. So my little quest began.
I called plenty of people in my phone book to figure out how to get to north San Antonio from south Austin. After an hour and a half, I managed to find some luck. Two of my fraternity brothers got me there... Nikole Smith was driving from Round Rock to San Marcos to meet up with a few other people, and Josh Turnipseed drove me from San Marcos to San Antonio. I love my blue brothers so much, and I owe them big time, even though they said not to worry about it.
I met up with Eddie at a Wal-Mart just shy of their apartment. I was so excited to see him, and when I saw him smile it took everything I worried about out of my mind. Josh parked the car to meet & greet with Eddie and Angela (roommate) for a few minutes. After I thanked him over and over, Josh left, and I went with Eddie and Angela. In the car, he gave me Transformers movies, a dragon necklace, and later a meerkat stuffed animal he's been sleeping with every night until he gave it to me. He'll be sleeping with his bobcat stuffed animal now, and I'll have the meerkat! He's spoiled me already... xd heart
I spent the night with Eddie. I met another friend - sorry, I don't remember her name, but she was quite the fun character - and we watched some Family Guy and a bit of Sweeney Todd. We also ate some chicken and cookies, and we drank beer and Mountain Dew. After the roommates went to bed, Eddie and I listened to music, share camera phone photos, and cuddled close, until about 5AM.
I woke up four times: (1) 9:45AM - my boss called me to tell me I when and where I was working tomorrow; (2) 11:30AM - something I can't remember, maybe the roommates?; (3) 12:30PM - my phone alarm went off to wake me up; (4) 1:05PM - I actually stayed awake.
Angela, before she left the apartment, said two memorable things:
(1) To Eddie: "I've never seen you so happy... ever."
(2) To Me: "You're such a great influence on him."
I'll never forget these words, and I'm glad somebody thinks I'm that special... besides Eddie. I'm so very happy that somebody can make me just as happy as I make them.
Sadly, after a brief time together, I had to call my ride home... Javier King. He was going up to Austin to get his bass fixed, and that was my ticket home; besides, I haven't seen him since school got out, so I figured it'd be a good time to catch up. We met up with him just one block away at the nearby Alamo Community College (Eastside Lakeview, I think). I said my final goodbye & I love you, and I was on my way back to Austin shortly thereafter.
I never felt so comforted, so safe, so warm, and so loved, in so long. I was ready to run in his arms and cry my eyes out, but that never happened. I felt so wonderfully peaceful and comforted. I'm really in love with Eddie, and I can't imagine myself with anybody else. We have so much in common, and he's got everything I've pictured in my perfect prince charming. This was the greatest night of the summer, and I can't wait to see him again!

For a long time, I've kept dream journals, poetry journals, quotebooks, and now I have a prayer journal and all my email journals (MySp, FBook, and this one). Curious how people change through time.
