So, my dad finally decided to pump up the tires on my bike, right? (FINALLY!) And so, he's doing it at freaking 11:45, outside, next to his car, while listening to Pat Benatar! (I aproove, btw. She's aweshum!) So, I come out, all like, "OMG PLAY LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD! :0" And he's all like, ";D HAHA BIKE! *Rides it in the street*"
Me: ":'D I WANNA TURN PLZ!"
Dad: "MKAY" *Gives bike*
Me: *Has trouble getting on the bike cuz the seat is too high*
Dad: *Fixes*
Me: *Rides into the...DARKNESS* MUAHAHAHA.
Mom: "It's friggen 12am, you're blasting Pat Benatar, and our daughter is riding a bike in the streets! No wonder the neighbors hate us!"
Me and Dad: :'D
Me: "We put the 'fun' in 'dysfunctional'!"
Mom and Dad: LOL
Mom: "They're gonna think we're vampires."
Me: "I say we let them! Everyone know vampires are badass and sexy!"
Mom: "....I'm going back in."
Me: *Returns to riding*
Dad: *Puts in ACDC CD*

Yea. Seriously.
I love my family.

So, after my lil bro's BDay party today, my dad, BEST DAD THAT HE IS, took me to Walden Books to pick up a book in a series that I need and a school reading list book I needed. He gives me $40 bucks!
So, I go in, right? First thing I check? THE MANGA. DURR.
There's this one yaoi manga I've been looking for, like, ever since I didn't buy it thanks to Oki_the_great one friday we went to the mall. Here's what happened basically:

Me: OMG KATY. WHICH SHOULD I GET? CUTE BEAST, A SEXY YAOI MANGA I'VE WANTED AND BEEN LOOKING FOR SINCE FOREVUR OR THE NEWEST CASE CLOSED VOLUME THAT I'VE TOTALLY BEEN WAITING FOR?
Katy: Um, well...You could always get the yaoi some other time, but you've been following that series...I'd buy the Case Closed volume.
Me: MKAY. I'LL GET CUTE BEAST NEXT WEEK.
*Next Week*
Me: *Checks for Cute Beast* KATY!!!!! IT'S NOT HERE!!!! YOU LIED!
*A few weeks later*
Me: STILL NOT HERE! D:
*Longer*
Me: crying crying crying crying I HATE LIFE!

So, as soon as I saw it, I GRABBED IT AND RAN TO THE YOUNG ADULT SECTION. I found the book I wanted from that series...but the book for my reading list ******** ran out yesterday. WTF BITCHEZ?! WTF?! WHAT IS THIS TOM-FOOLERY?! I WILL NOT TOLERATE THESE SHENANIGANS!
So whatever. I'm waiting in line, right? A LONG LINE, BTW. And when I'm getting my books scanned (Cute Beast was plastic wrapped! YAY FOR M-ness!) who else but my dad walked into the store.
So, I'm scared shitless that he'd notice it's OMGYAOIWRAPPEDANDSAYSIT'SRATED"M"! He says nothing but:
"So you have enough money?"
Me: Uh, yeah! But they didn't have my book for the reading list! *Distracting him from the porn I'm obviously TRYING TO BUY!*
Dad: Oh well. Next time.
Me: *Has $10 change* Here you go dad.
Dad: Eh. Hold on to it.
Me: e _e SHWEET. (To add on to the $30 my grandparents gave me for finishing up Freshman year in high school and the $6 I already had! xD)

Hehe. I finished Cute Beast. TWAS TEH SECKS. Now I have to loan it to mah little Asian buddy Nicole! <3
