Well, I got yesterday pretty late and I was tired as Hell. I didn't do as much as I had hoped there. But, under the circumstances I'm happy with what happend. So I guess I will tell you what I can remember...prepare for a long one.
Day one-Sunday.
I got there a little early to help pack up all the trucks. Oddly my dad forgot an entire cooler of stuff. So he left me behind as he ran home making me jump into the first car with an empty space. The Staff Car. Were the older kids chill. Nathan-16 Yr. Brock -16 Yr. Jared -17 Yr. And now me... Stephen -14 Yr. They accepted me quickly enough since they have noticed that I'm not an idiot. The ride up there was werid. Mr. Culenburg owns a conceled hand gun license I guess. Which is cool. We found a funny hat. I wore it and so did Brock... We wore it for the entire week.
I got to camp set up my hamock set up the rest of stuff. We made a common area with the crashpad(climbing thing) as a couch. I called megan to have her father answer. "Yes, you can get service." Which amazed me and made me very happy.
Day two-Monday.
First day of classes... I had no Idea what I was doing so from that day on my first three hours was me helping everyone out in ecology (Trees, Rocks, Mammals, Things that hippies like me enjoy)Sadly I was spoken to another evangelist. Ugh, I'm saved. I go to two churchs. I know Jesus. I got more story to tell but I'm a little lazy at the moment.
The General-Dispatch
there was a decorated general with
a heart of gold, that likened him to
all the stories he told
of past battles, won and lost, and
legends of old a seasoned veteran in
his own time
on the battlefield, he gained
respectful fame with many metals
of bravery and stripes to his name
he grew a beard as soon as he could
to cover the scars on his face
and always urged his men on
but on the eve of a great battle
with the infantry in dream
the old general tossed in his sleep
and wrestled with its meaning
he awoke from the night
just to tell what he had seen
and walked slowly out of his tent
all the men held tall with their
chests in the air, with courage in
their blood and a fire in their stare
it was a grey morning and they all
wondered how they would fare
till the old general told them to go home
He Said:
CHORUS:
I have seen the others
and I have discovered
that this fight is not worth fighting
I have seen their mothers
and I will no other
to follow me where I'm going
(repeat twice)
Take a shower, shine your shoes
you got no time to lose
you are young men you must be living
go now you are forgiven-(on first time, dont say this)
but the men stood fast with their
guns on their shoulders not knowing
what to do with the contradicting orders
the general said he would do his own
duty bout would not extend it not further
the men could go as they pleased
not a man moved, their eyes glazed
straight ahead till one by one they
stepped back and not a word was said
and the old general was left with his
own words echoing in his head
he then prepared to fight
He Said:
CHORUS
go now you are forgiven
