This is a small blurb of something I'm just jotting down in my spare time. Tell me what you think. It doesn't have a title or anything yet, so, if you have any suggestions, let me know.
Thousands of years ago, our ancestors would gather 'round the fire at night, telling tales of war, of heroes, and of courage. But, there was another kind of tale that was told every night. It wasn't meant to scare the children into obedience, but to warn the little ones of the reasons why our ancestors huddled around the campfire. Tales of creatures that live in the darkness, that thrive in the shadows. Some look beyond this wall of fear and convince themselves that is but fantasy, a falsification, nil but a lie. However, what even the most skeptical person must remember, is that every lie, has a seed of truth at it's core. There are those who see this for what it truly is, a warning. Not just a story, but more then that. Reasons. Reasons for why our elders feared the dark. In the times of ages, people have seen that there are indeed things that live in the shadows. People have seen that there is a reason for that irrational fear of the dark.
