Rose walked into the hotel room as quietly as possible, shutting the door and leaning against it.
"Where have you been?"
A dark voice asked, and her breath caught in her throat.
"I went for a walk after the fights, I was exploring the grounds a bit."
It wasn't a total lie, she had gone into the forest.
"You lying wench! You met up with Kurama of Team Urameshi, the human that houses your brother's spirit!"
Her eyes widened as all of the sudden he appeared before her, his clawed hand wrapped around her neck and hoisting her up.
"I-I didn't.."
She choked out, his claws drawing blood as he tightened his grip on her.
"I can smell him on you, you ungrateful lying whore!"
He bellowed out in rage, his eyes flashing as he tossed her across the room, where she landed, of all places, on top of the glass table. She screamed out in pain as the glass tore at her sensitive skin, her blood staining the carpet below. He didn't seem to notice, or didn't care as he stormed over, picking her up to slap her hard across the face several times. He growled at her, and shook her fiercly by the shoulders, finally pushing her back. She stumbled as to not fall again, stumbling to keep her balance. She backed up until she hit the door, wincing as it embedded the shards of glass further into her back. She shakily turned the handle and ran out, running as fast as her bleeding legs could take her without the help of ki. She could sense him running after her and she screamed, falling to her knees completely out of breath.
'Get up, get up dammit or you're gonna die! Oh, who cares.'
She thought bitterly when her legs didn't move.
'I should die, there's nothing to live for, at least I got to see Kurama one more time.'
Tears welled up behind her closed eyes and she waited as she heard him approach. She heard his heavy breathing and silently wished Kurama goodbye as she began to pass out from blood loss, her vision swarming as someone jumped over her.

Team Urameshi minus Genkai walked down to sidewalk, enjoying the fresh night air. They had insisted Kurama come out for a walk after he had told them about his reunion earlier in the day. He walked with his hands in his pockets, his head hung low. Hiei walked a little bit behind him, Yusuke and Kuwabara arguing in front of him. He almost walked into their backs as they stopped suddenly, staring at something. He looked around them, his eyes widening as he saw a girl, a familiar girl, running for all she worth away from a dark looking man.
"Rose..."
He muttered loud enough for all the others men to hear.
"As in your sister? Damn, we have to help her!"
Yusuke yelled, but Hiei and Kurama were way ahead of him, already running towards them. Hiei drew his sword and right before the man was about to strike Rose, he slashed him down the middle with his sword. Kurama caught the girl before she hit the ground, holding her bridal style. His eyes widened as he realized the extent to which she was injured, her blood immediately soaking through his sleeves and onto his skin. He noted that the black collar she wore fell off on its own, the mark disappearing from her neck. But that wouldn't mean anything if she died!
"Rose, please, wake up, please!"
He begged, horrified as he watched her pale face, her head falling back slightly.
The other three appeared beside him and looked down at her grimly, not commenting on Kurama's tears.
"We have to get her back to master Genkai."
He muttered, standing up and disappearing without any other word. The others all looked at each other sadly, following their friend back to the room.
