"Suna. Hey, wake up. School's over." Someone said shaking a raven haired girl's shoulder gently. Suna eyes fluttered then slowly opened revealing dazzling jade eyes. She had fallen asleep during her last class, as she did every day, hunched over with her head on her desk, hidden by a propped up book. Slowly her gaze shifted over to the one who was shaking her shoulder. A girl with short chestnut colored hair stood leaning over her with a large smile on her face. "Man, Suna. How can you manage to fall asleep at the exact same time every day. Your like a cat with scheduled cat-naps." She said half joking.
Suna smiled. "Then I guess I should start purring in the sun and meowing when I'm happy, huh." She said in a joyful tone rising up from her seat. The two of them left the classroom, walked down the hall into the courtyard, and left the campus. As they walked down the road, they discussed their weekend plans. Suna Yukato could be described as your average modern day tom-boy. She has long, waist length raven colored hair. Her Jade eyes glistening brightly from underneath her dark jagged bangs. However, until two years ago, she was a girl against the world, picking fights where ever she went. Then one day she happen to come across a group of boys picking on a group of girly girls. Normally, she would've shrugged and carried on. However, this time she was having a bad day so she stepped in and kick those sorry jerks' butts so bad they ran home crying. One of the girly girls that she had helped that day was a girl named Isa Toshiro. After that, Isa began talking to Suna every day. Eventually, the two of them became the best of friends to this day. " Hey, do you have any plans for this weekend?" She asked Isa hopefully.
"Nope. Completely free. What do you want to do?" Isa said smiling. She was no fool, how could she forget that this weekend was Suna's 16th birthday.
"Yes! How about we go shopping at the new mall?" Suna said sounding excited. "I heard they have all sorts of awesome shops. Some are full of cute things and others are full of book. There's even one entirely devoted to sports!"
Isa laughed. "Wow. Sounds like the mall is nice. And something tells me that the sports store will bring you to your element." They laughed together until the two of them reached the point where they went their separate ways. "How about we meet here at 10:00 sharp." Suna nodded to the agreed time. "Alright, see you tomorrow morning Suna, Bye!" Isa waved then ran down the street and turned left at the corner for her way home.
Suna continued walking, thinking of the upcoming fun she and Isa would have at the mall. She turned right at the same corner where Isa had gone the other way. WHACK! The next thing she knew she was on the ground. While she was thinking, she had run into someone. Holding her head where it had hit the ground she apologized. "Oh, geez. I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going."
"It's alright. Are you injured?" Said a cool voice, obviously belonging to a boy. Suna opened her eyes to see a teen aged boy about her age extending his hand to help her up. He was wearing tight faded jeans and a black t-shirt with a long black coat over that. His hair was a dark midnight color and was a jagged cut. His bangs were right below his eyebrows and on the left side of his head, he had some of his hair tied in some sort of wrap. His eyes however were concealed by dark sunglasses.
It took her a moment to realize that his hand was still extended and she was still on the ground. In embarrassment, she quickly shot up. "Oh, I'm sorry. Yes, I'm alright, thank you for asking. Uh, well I'd better be going. Sorry again." She said scurrying off towards her home. However, the next thing he said stopped her in her tracks.
"Be warned. Your time of awakening will come soon. And those who search for you, shall come." He spoke in an ominous tone.
She turned to ask what he meant but not a soul was around. Suna was alone on the street where she had run into that boy just a moment ago. Without another thought, she tuned and ran towards her house, not looking back. She reached her home, rushed through the iron gate, it clanging behind her. Suna ran up the brick steps and through her front door. She leaned against the door, breathing hard. What did he mean by that? She did run into him, he was there. . . wasn't he?
