Breaking the Spell

"D'rrrrah, fine," Nogard said, setting herself and her sisters on the floor. Positioning Dragon in the middle facing the screen, Nogard placed Xangord on Dragon's right facing her and set herself on Dragon's left facing her.

Closing her eyes, Dragon drew on the power of her sisters. She knew without looking that from Nogard, a trail of fire extended between the two of them and Nogard's elemental hair and wings dimmed down to barely-there-blue flames. She also knew that from Xangord, a trail of smoke extended between the two of them and Xangord's elemental hair and wings nearly vanished to non existence.

With the help of her sisters, Dragon's base power level tripled [+1]--but at the same time she felt it still wasn't enough. Unless...

"Nogard, you idiot, are you giving your full power?!" Dragon asked.

Grinning, Nogard said, "What makes you say that?"

"A human child could beat you with both arms behind its back at the level you're providing," Dragon replied.

Her grin instantly turning into a frown, Nogard's elemental hair and wings flared for a moment as she boosted the power she was sending to Dragon.

"WOLF, REMOVE THE CHARM!" Dragon yelled, momentarily breaking through the enchantment.

Looking down at Dragon, Wolf saw the charm around Dragon's head and ripped it off shortly before the Vampire Brothers grabbed him. Dropping Dragon, Wolf felt himself lifted up and thrown through a wall. Grabbing his injured shoulder, Wolf pushed rubble off of himself in time to see one of the Vampire Brothers clamp a hand about his throat and lift him off the ground.

"Stupid dog!" White shirt yelled, slamming Wolf to the ground again.

"Worthless mutt!" Red Cravat added, kicking Wolf in the stomach so hard he flew across the room.

As they stalked nearer towards him, Wolf saw that they had paused as an insane cackle filled the room.

Looking towards the hole in the wall, they saw a silhouetted figure that quickly lit itself up.
