Inside the Box
You wouldn't believe it.
Even if I told you five zillion times.

Last night, my mind changed about most things. I got over a lot of things. I got over a lot of people.

A girl I don't talk to a lot was talking to me, and said "You're not your normal self." And that's true, seeing as how I was sobbing on my end of the internet and wanting to curl up and die. I vented to her, and that part alone felt good. And then, she gave me some advice that I've decided to live by. It goes,

"But yeah, that's really it, don't fit the norm
Because everybody's standards are different
Not because you're a pushover
But because no two people feel the same needs out of a person.
Trust me, I've had a great deal of time to think about this.
All you have to do to gain a rep? Be respecful, polite, and let s**t slide. Hold your own until somebody crosses the line.
Just get these few things down, and honestly, everything will fall into place eventually.
But patience, please please please have patience.
These things take up soo much time. But well worth it in the end.
You'll find yourself changed for the better of /yourself/. What counts is that YOU see improvement.
and don't let anyone think that their opinion on you is more important than your own."

Most of you may think I was already like that, but it was just a face I was putting on. I've been holding back so much anger and s**t that I felt like I was going to explode. Some of what she said most of you won't understand, since it was specific to my situation, but more than half of it is a lesson to everyone in itself.

And, most of all, don't hold things back to the point where you think you can do nothing about it. Vent it out to someone. And if you can't find anyone, I can help.

It's best not to vent to close friends anyway; they'll just tell you things to make you feel better, not give good advice.
