Chapter 9
The next morning Kitty, Sentaro, Ryo and Bella were all sitting at the dining hall, while Elena was making breakfast.
Kitty: Yay, breakfast! I hope she makes chocolate chip pancakes.
Ryo: I can go for anything, since we didn't eat anything these last few days.
Sentaro: *nods*
Kitty: Hey Bella-chan.
Bella: Yes?
Kitty: I noticed you and I have the same markings on our faces. Are you some kind of hybrid?
Bella: Yes.
Kitty: Awesome. *jumps up and down on the chair* Yay, I'm not alone! I'm a dragon/human hybrid by the way. So, what kind of hybrid are you?
Bella: Well...
Kitty: Don't worry, we promise we won't fear you or treat you any different, right guys?
Ryo: *thumbs up* Right!
Sentaro *nods* You have my word.
Bella: Ok then... *looking nervous* I'm a vampire/werewolf hybrid.
Ryo: WHAT?! Aren't vampires and werewolves like enemies or something?
Sentaro: They are. *not looking surprised since he knew from the start*
Kitty: I think that's awesome! I betcha you're extra powerful.
Bella: Y-Yea... *looking a bit depressed*
Kitty: Bella-chan?
Elena enters the room with trays of food.
Elena: Who wants food? *places food on the table*
Kitty: Pancakes! GIMME GIMME!!! *snatches all the pancakes* These are mine! *pours maple syrup on them and starts eating*
Ryo: -_-; Fine, have them all, you fatass.
Elena: First things first, does the little one know what I am?
Kitty: I'M NOT LITTLE! * resumes eating*
Sentaro: Yea, she didn't seem to mind.
Elena: Good. *sighs* So, is there anything you're curious about?
Sentaro: I got a question. When I was sensing your spiritual energy, there was some kind other kind of... energy I sensed in you. Not just you but two other people we know as well.
Elena: Oh?
Ryo: Two other people?
Sentaro: Yes. One of them was that vampire we ran into, Luthor.
Ryo: Really?
Sentaro *nods* And the other is someone who we all know very well, our own teacher.
Ryo: Ryuna-sensei?
Kitty: *stops eating* Senpai?
Sentaro: At first I thought it was no big deal, but now that I've seen two others with the same power, it got me thinking.
Elena: What you're sensing is our curse.
Bella: Curse?
Elena: Yes... the curse of eternal youth and life.
Sentaro: *suddenly stands up, looking in shock* A-Are you saying y-you guys are... Immortals?!
Elena: *nods, looks down*
Ryo: *shocked* NO WAY!
Bella: *shocked* I thought they were just a legend.
Kitty: Can someone please tell me what an Immortal is?
Sentaro: They are beings who are cursed by the gods themselves for commiting the worst of all sins: the Seven Deadly Sins.
Ryo: It is said they can live and stay young forever, and they cannot die no matter what weapon you use or how many times you slice their bodies.
Bella: According to legend, there are seven Immortals, each representing the sin they commited: Pride, Envy, Wrath, Greed, Lust, Sloth and Gluttony.
Kitty: So Ryuna-senpai and Luthor-san are Immortals? And you too Elena-san?
Elena: *nods* And everyday I regret everything I've done. *starts crying* I wish I could go back in time and fix everything I did. I don't want to be cursed.
Sentaro: *places his hand on Elena's shoulder* I can't break you're curse, but if it makes you feel any better, me and my friends won't treat you differently because of your past. *wipes the tear off her face*
Elena: *sniff* Thank you, Sentaro-kun.
Sentaro: No problem.
Ryo: So, which Immortal are you?
Elena: I'm Sinner number six: the Immortal of Sloth.
Ryo: o.o; ...... Um, ok........ So she's cursed for being extremely lazy? Man, these gods are too strict.
Kitty: What about Luthor-san and Ryuna-senpai?
Elena: Well if I remember correctly, Luthor's Sinner number three: the Immortal of Wrath. And Ryuna's Sinner number two: the Immortal of Envy.
Kitty: Ryuna-senpai's the Immortal of Envy? But she doesn't look like the jealous type.
Sentaro: Perhaps she was in the past.
Ryo: Well whatever they've done doesn't matter to us, we're just glad that they're on the side of good. If they weren't, we'd be in big trouble.
Bella: *nods*
Elena: Oh my, we were talking for so long, I forgot it was still breakfast time. Eat up guys, before it gets cold. We can talk more later.
Kitty, Sentaro, Ryo and Bella were eating their breakfast. Elena stood up and approached Sentaro.
Elena: Hey Sentaro-kun, can I speak to you privetly in the other room?
Sentaro: Um, ok. *follows Elena to the library*
Ryo: Ooohhh, looks like someone's getting some today! xD
Bella: Oh grow up, you're so immature.
Ryo: Shut up b***h.
Bella: What'd you call me?!
Kitty: Guys, calm down. No fighting in the breakfast table. What does "getting some" mean anyway?
Elena and Sentaro were at the ship's library, all the walls were covered with hundreds of books.
Elena: I wanted to thank you again for your kind words.
Sentaro: No problem.
Elena: I wanted to give you something. *pulls a book from the shelf* Here. *hands it to Sentaro*
Sentaro: Thank you. *takes it* What is it?
Elena: It's a book that'll probably ease your suffering. *leaves the room*
Sentaro: Hm, ease my suffering? *opens the book, flips through a few pages, gasps* No way, this is....
Elena: Sentaro-kun, ever since I first saw you, I sensed the pain in your heart, the pain of losing your true love. What I gave you is a spiritualist spell book, it'll give you the ability to speak to the spirit of your long lost love. *smiles, tears a little* No one has ever treated me with such kindness in my entire life, so my gift to you is for you to be happy, just as you did with me. *walks back to the dining hall*
