Well, Ok, here goes the first review (Let's just hope it's not as bad as the E.T. game for the Atari)(Note: Pardon my grammar, I know it's bad). Well, you play Neku, the young overly-depressed Japanese youngster with an affinity for grafitti, who happens to wake up in the middle of Shibuya (one of the 23 wards in Tokyo). And it so just happens he can't get out and is forced to play a game fighting off Demon-like creatures using magic pins to fight off these creatures along with a partener.

First off, the music is amazing, take some Bleach music, throw in j-pop, an ultra-heavy does of techno, and random bizzare instrumentals, and you get the games creepy, yet fitting, soundtrack. If they ever release a cd-soundtrack I am definitely going to order it.
Next the game-play, of course. At first there will be a bit of a learning curve, but the controls are, after a few battles, very smooth and easy, one of the best touch screen utilizing games out there on the DS. But on the downside some of the battle elements are a bit complicated and slightly cumbersome, especially controlling the partner (although it does have an auto-play option for the partner), And sometime sit can become a bit repetitive. My only other complaint is the pin leveling-system which requires specific exp to evolve pins to more powerful forms. How is this annoying you may ask, well some pins require exp from nearby DS's in wireless mode in general, and it's quite hard to get that exp without having a second DS, many friends with one, or live in a highly populated area, otherwise you will just have to let it sit for 30 minutes- 12 hours to randomly generate the exp in that mode. Also local wireless battling would be nice, and possible considering that the normal battles consist of two separate people, co-op would be possible.

Lastly two things worth mentioning, the art and story. The artwork and graphics are fairly normal a DS game, although it uses many forms of modern art and graffiti in the game that make it's art style very individual. And lastly the story, although it doesn't factor into my review score too heavily, it's fairly stereotypical for both an anime-esque game, and one from the makers of Kingdom Hearts. Ultra-depressed main character, amnesia, loner, and zippers, lots and lots of zippers. But it does have a few twists in it not to say any for fear of revealing the plot any further.

So overall a pretty good game for the DS, only a few things here and there in the game to really complain about, but if it gets enough sales maybe we'll see more Japanese-only games also be sold in America and Europe, maybe we won't, who knows? I'm giving the game an 8.5 out of ten, not spectacular, but it's a great game for the DS and I personally recommend buying it, especially considering the upcoming summer gaming drought.

Also I'll be posting an indepth-score guide for all media I review at a later point. But here's a rundown for just video games.

10= perfect
7= good, but could use alot of improvement.
5= below average, tried to be great but missed the mark pretty hard.
3= Really bad, has maybe one or two good redeeming factors but that's it.
1= Horrible, honest to god the developer's deserve to be forced to play E.T. on the Atari,
0= The developers should have to play and fully complete each and every E.T. game in the landfill, then burn in hell for the torture they made me play.(I doubt I will ever give one out)
-1= RUN! RUN AWAY FROM THE GAMING DEVIL, HIS JOYSTICKS ARE MADE OF FEAR AND MISERY (I will never give this one out.....unless a sequel to the E.T. game is made)

Notes: Yes I know I ripped on the E.T. game a lot, but for my first review I just felt in the mood for picking on that game. But Boom Blox looks good.
