I don't know what the fascination about guns is. I am completely against war, fighting, violence and killing innocent creatures. My 9 year old son just told me his father told him he could go hunting and that when he was gonna try using his be- be gun he could kill an animal. Which I knew his father wouldn't because he enjoys being alive. Haha he knew I would kill him if he ever said that to my son. I can't understand why he wants to kill things. He loves war games which is fine because he has ADHD and that is the only thing he actually takes an interest in. Is any information about wars. Especially WWII. He is taking an interest in history which is actually good.

But my son doesn't fully understand what guns really are and truly do. He understood a bit more when his father took him to see the new Rambo movie. During the entire thing he explanined what it meant when someone was killed and died. Which I can't be too upset about. At least he is learning something. But I would of prefered it to be a different way. But my son also knows how much I do not approve of killing animals.

My children know that I am a animal lover and do not approve of hurting or killing animals for any reason. But he has a cousin a yr or two older than him who goes hunting with his father alot and knows how to use guns. Which is fine, his uncle can raise his children whatever way he wants. But I do not want my son using any weapon or even a be be gun until he moves out of the house and into his own place. To me I can't support a behaviour like that. It might not seem right, but at least I am not forcing my children to have the same beliefs as I do. I let them choose for what they want. They can choose to eat meat if they wise, choose to hunt after they move. But as long as they live under my roof, they are not to hunt or even desire it. >.>; I'm a little harse I guess. But I am one of the more relaxed parents out there. I trust my children and guide them in the right direction instead of hounding them all day long like I am some prison guard.

>.<; Too bad I can't ever understand what is so special about guns. His father is supposed to talk to our son about what a be be gun is. Tell him all there is to know about the respect you must have for it. He needs to learn this now, before he gets old enough to touch a actual gun and doesn't know s**t about one.

I want him to understand what it means to hold a gun or any weapon to be exact. What it means to shoot something or someone or hurt someone or something. This way he knows what it truly means to take a life. No matter who or what creatures life it is. He can think about what he wishes to choose for himself alot better knowing the truth about things.

Kids are truly one of the hardest challenges in a persons life. They make one think things through and make you have to deal and do things that you would keep yourself away from otherwise if it wasn't for them.
