Hm...so today was back to school from Easter vacation. I'm so dead from all the work. The welcome back gifts of all the teachers included four tests, three essays, and homework in all of my subjects. I think I'll get carpal tunnel by the time i graduate high school.
So I finished the tale of two cities work. My Latin teacher's been giving me a bit of a headache because I've had to memorize a ton of Roman history. I mean it's all easy for him with his marvelous doctorate in Asian/European history, but I'm not that far yet. I think I'm sick of hearing Julius Caesar, Virgil, Homer, Dante, Cicero, and Demosthenes over and over again. I love Shakespeare's play of Julius Caesar, and I've read the works of all the poets, orators, and playwrights, but doing them over and over again is making my poor brain ache.
alia iacta est. I've got to take my Latin exam now whether I want to or not.
Anyway, I came back to school and my friends all look like McDonald's hashbrowns from coming from Florida. I'm already dark-skinned so I'd win the competition, but while I sat at home doing a load of homework and sniffling from my cold, they partied at Magic Kingdom in Disney. You can imagine how pissed I was.
My friend gave me a souvenir. It was awfully nice of her to think of me while she was in Epcot, and she gave me a wonderful metallic, periwinkle, long, sender, soft, smooth, #2 pencil with snow white's face on it. Don't get me wrong- I love the pencil. The snow white throws me off. I kinda like someone like Jasmine, Aurora, or Belle much more. I find those three Disney princesses superior to the others because they seem more elegant. Ever get that feeling? I think the best princess is Mulan. She's one tough chick who didn't let guys get her down. She pwned that Hun butthead Shan Yu and got the entire population of China to be at her feet. Now isn't that a true princess?

That's why Mulan's the best. She embodies my ideal hero/princess. Sure, Aurora, Belle, Jasmine are extremely beautiful and are elegant and smart. But Mulan's got to be the bravest of them all. Snow White and Cinderella are out of the question. They're too... passive. The guy had to come save them. As for Ariel, she's okay. I'm not for inter-species dating so I think she should've stuck to merpeople. Pocahontas is nice, but I don't really like her story too much. It's too depressing for me.
Did you know they're adding three more? I was surprised. The first African-American princess, named Tiana in 2009, Rapunzel (weird, I never found her story enchanting) in 2010, and some unnamed Scottish princess later on.
Anyway, enough about by rant on Disney princesses.
