Darkness

In the darkness he waits for me
He waits in that never ending sea
He knows all
He will never let me fall
He waits in the darkness
He sees my helplessness
I want to see his face through the darkness
But I fail to do so
I want to go
I want to slip in to my state of loneliness
The only time I control my fate is in the darkness.

In the Darkness he waits for me
He wants to look in to my eyes to see what I see
He waits to be a person like you and me
He waits to be free
He lost himself you see
He wants to know what he could be
I want to find him, I just don’t know how
Why does he hide from me now?

I dreamt about him last night
He was sitting all alone
He cried tears that were not his own
I watched as the clock strikes midnight
I waited until mid light
I said nothing just watched
He cried all the tears I held in
He cried because I didn’t let him in
I watched as he waited for me
But I didn’t see, and neither did he.
