ahhh it's that time of year. two days ago it was warm and sunny here. the temp had gotten up to 48 degrees, the snow was melting like crazy - i even had my windows open for a few hours and spent some time sitting in the sun on the back porch planning where the new garden would be and what we'll plant this spring. then this morning i get up and it's all gray and blah and 6 inches of snow dumped on us overnight. ick. (sorry will.) we didn't even get the worst of it. waconia got 16". i'm not at all surprised though, this happens nearly every year here. still it's hard not to feel bummed. after all, you get that first tantalizing hint of spring and then whammo! back to winter. it makes me wonder if i just dreamed it. it always reminds me of that twilight zone episode titled 'the midnight sun'. lol, i'll get over it. i know spring will be here soon and i can start working on the yard. i'm just getting impatient.
