Demon Days
All and everything that forms my life; from music, friends, books, writing, and some few extra info about me
Paranormal Crimes
“I must it been a baby only a few months old, an he passed by me. I naturally mimic all of his powers, including his knowledge his lies…his life. Like I done with countless ones…sometimes at night I wander if ‘I’ ever existed or I may just a recollection of emotions brought together in a physical state of matter. I may alive here it all?” he was observing his hands when he rose his eyes to stare at Joaquin.

“What ever is holding you together boy, make you immune to me. You’re like the ‘Shadowliners’, there but not there, alive but not death, death or alive? Thinking like mad with out a thought to share. Monster I say but you’re not like them!” it was like watching a nation go to war with its own president.

“What are the Shadowliners?” asked Joaquin with anxiety.

“Nexus-beings existing exclusively to hold our reality from merging with a parallel reality, preventing a large scale multi-dimensional collapse. In plain English, is like building a house without cement and instead staking the bricks perfectly in top of one another being careful not to destroy it balance, when you take one. ” Karlam made a hand gesture that Joaquin obviously saw mean, imminent death. “Like those bricks Shadowliners are destroyable and killable, that already says enough about that crappy system they called the multiverse. Lode of ball if you ask me.”

“Has any Shadowliner ever being killed?” he wander as he walked along with Karlam.

“Some have but other seclude themselves and soon they forget how to live, of humanity, emotions and eventually all.” he was looking ahead were Württemberg castle lay ahead. Württemberg castle looked much like the Dark Ages castle, rough stone blocks, fortified windows and large misty forest surrounding it.

“How do you know there more realities?” asked Joaquin as they slow down the pace.

“I must had been seventeen when I meet Austin - shhh! By quiet.”

Joaquin turned around to see the soldiers and knights retrieving, verily through the thin curtain of smoke cause by the dying fire. But this was unmoral, Lark and Bsano were conversing with a higher ranking official and then out off nowhere they turned tail and when the other way. It was hard to fallow them because of the now thick smoke. While Joaquin’s mind wader why the sudden lost of interest in them. In Karlam’s mind, he was trying to figure out a way to get close to them without them noticing them.

“Stay close. I know how to fallow them, after all I was part of them.” he was hunter and they were his pray, only toying with them. Joaquin though for a moment that he could had taken all of them at once if he wanted too, but why did he spare there lives? Formant comrades, respect for those who once give him a home to live or just the silly idea of having someone who knew you for more then your outside? He didn’t know how much time had Karlam spend with them, how many friends had he seen die in the battlefield but he knew one single thing for sure. Karlam was valuable allied in this new world.

He felt as if they had walked for hours, it may had being so. The sun was finally setting in; from the look of things most of this world was undeveloped which ancient trees covering the dark forest were sunlight hardly penetrated, the view was free of buildings, the air was rich and all sort of exotic flora and fauna grew around them.

Karlam run ahead ignoring his heavy armor while Joaquin was exhausted so the moment they came to a halt he was more then glad to stop and sit down. “I think their searching for the criminals the previous unit was searching for.”

Joaquin took a deep breath and said. “What unit?”

Karlam turned around and whisper. “The Magnolia Unit.”

“Ha they sounds strong.”

“Stronger then me, you and those guys we saw back there. After all there leader is Lady Magnolia. I even heard rumors she is the most powerful paranormal the White Juggernaut have ever employed.”

“If she is so damn powerful how come she didn’t apprehended those criminals?” asked Joaquin

“I can’t say what happened to her or the unit but if she is dead, then this guys have no chance agents the criminals. Wait something is going on.”

“Hurry! They mustn’t carry out their evil deeds.” said Milo very quietly.

“I know, I know. You only said that about nineteen damn times Milo.” responded Lark, the both of them were being accompany by small platoon of white paladins.

“Just who are this guys anyway?” asked Bsano who was ridding a white horse.

“They call themselves the Trio of Death. Don’t let the name scare you, their just a pack of low lives. Rat Pack is more fitting for them. Don’t you think that Zora?” said Milo once again in a quite voice.

“Sounds right to my Milo.” responded a gangly bold man with croquet nose.

“There no time for discussing.” said Gryesilda the only female paladin except for Rina. Gryesilda had short black hair with matching dark eyes she was just as tall as her twin brother, Milo.

“Please don’t get my involved in this stupid post-battle chat that the Commander and Zora always have. Its ridiculous by downgrading the enemy with words and thought we do no good, that why I save my breath for the battlefield were words after slaying a man’s head have meaning.” said Rina.

From where Joaquin and Karlam were carefully standing all of them were visible through a small gap between the trees, they were at least fifty soldiers and ten commanders. The one leading them was middle height man with long black silky hair, Milo. Like his sister he wore a completely white armor with golden edges except he wore lion shape helmet. Joaquin heard a noise and he quickly turn to see a small black cat between the trees it splendid blue eyes radiating in the twilight.

“What are you looking at?” asked Karlam, accidentally freighting Joaquin.

“At this cat --- its gone!” both of them turned to the gap to see the paladins, they had all stop.

“Hello there?” said a gorgeous woman sitting in a branch. She had long slender figure with tantalizing smile and daring black corset with fishnet covering both her arms and legs.

Milo couldn’t stop smiling but he was not the only one Lark was polishing his armor, while Bsano try to get a peek of what was under her blue skirt. Zora was the first to take a step forward, he walked awkwardly toward the woman ignoring the negative comments both Rina and Gryesilda shouted at him.

“Hmm…my name is Zora Lagonda.” he said sitting there smiling with what little teeth he had left from his last fight.

She give devilish giggle and jumped from the branch. “The name is Lynn Harker.”
