The Fireball
One night I was asleep on the ground when I hear his obnoxious voice in my head say “AWAKE UP!”
I open my eyes and mumble “What?”
“SHHHHH!” He says in my head. “If you have to speak to me just think it. And don’t complain. I know you hate to be reminded of our connection but we need to be quite. One of them is close.”I lean my head back and think to myself 'So, that’s your problem not mine.'
“IT’S YOUR PROBLEM AS LONG AS YOU HAVE MY HEART BEATING IN YOUR CHEST!!” He yells at me in my head and I groan. “SHHH! Now get up we need to leave.” Very reluctantly I rise to my feet and he grabs me in his talons and takes off. Another dragon sees us and also takes flight. “Throw fireballs at him!”
I look up at the dragon and say out loud “I can’t do throw fireballs. I’m human remember!”
“Just do it!!” He yells at me in my head. I groan again—It hurt when he yelled at me in my own head. I lifted my arm and tried to throw a fireball at the other dragon. And to my surprise a fireball was launched through my hand and hit the other dragon squarely in the chest. He fell from the sky.
