No...gorram [+1]...way!

After getting Nissa to force open the doors in the landing bay, Dragon and Xangord took the lead. Between the two of them, they were able to navigate the Renstok homeship to home in on where Nogard may be hiding or held prisoner.

"Around here," Dragon said, coming up on a turn in the hall.

Before she reached it, a grunny ran around the corner. Raising her chainsaw for a second, Dragon held up her hand to stop the others. "It's Nogard. Sort...of. Now we need--"

A second behind the rabbit, a woman ran around the corner. Sliding to a stop, the woman looked at Dragon's group for a moment before saying quite joyfully, "By George, Ducky! Can that be wee little Dragon all growed up with hair like our own and finding herself twinners! I think it be, Ducky, and if Smokey next to her be who we think it be, then the rabbit must be--"

Suddenly kneeling, the woman brushed her hand over the grunny's head and it transformed into Nogard.

Roaring, Nogard said, "WHERE THE FU--"

"Nogard," Holly said calmly.

"--dge is that fruit basket that I misplaced?" Nogard said, looking at Holly nervously.

"Dragon?" n** asked.

While the others had been talking, Dragon had walked up to the woman and was walking around her with a look of complete disbelief on her face. "You can't be here. They said you were dead."

"Not quite, Ducky," the woman replied, obviously relishing in Dragon's confusion. Stepping away from Dragon, she moved to the rest of her group and addressed each of them. Her voice had taken on a completely different vocal level--saner almost.

To Xangord and Nogard, she said, "You two would be Dragon's older and younger sisters, created only when the rabbit demon within was removed and recombined with her."

To n**, she said, "You reek of blood. You must be a vampire. You drink on any of those here and I will kill you myself, child."

To Nissa, she said, "Hrm. It seems that Ikkit did a fairly decent job with your structure, though there is one particular weakness to your design with that faulty image chip."

Before Nissa could reply, the woman moved on to Taran, "You...I know who you serve, he does not get as angry as you may think. He is quite laid back."

Placing a hand on Shalimar's belly before turning her eyes to her, the woman said, "You...have a secret within you to carry on your great lineage. Do not allow it to be alone with Miss Fire Head there."

Sweeping over to Wynn, she said, "I...do not know you, therefore I will not speak to you until I do."

Pausing to look at Holly, the woman placed a fist over her heart and bowed. "Great Lady, you should not have come here. It is far too dangerous. If you are lost, we are all lost."

Finally looking at Lord Avondale, the woman seemed to see something in the gold dragon's eyes. Tearing up, she said, "I feared the rumor was true and now I see it is such in your eyes, my son. I grieve to hear for her loss, but it is quite obvious the lineage holds true by those who are here. You have done well in protecting it."

Placing his fist over his heart, Lord Avondale bowed his head. "Thank you, milady. It is wonderful to see you again. Your husband will be overjoyed to hear that you are alive."

"Mind telling me who the hell this is?!" Nogard asked. "And how the hell she knows so much about all of us?"

Lowering her eyes, the woman turned to look at Nogard. Her voice had gone back to its original pitch and quality, "M'name is not important, Ducky, since it seems you have not come to rescue me."

Blinking and snapping out of her trance, Dragon said--in a very quavery voice, "She's right. Right now we find Xink, get the hell off this floating death trap, and then we can ask...questions." [+2]

Turning to Xangord, she said, "Can you sense where Xink may be?"

"Follow me," Xangord said, taking off down the hall that Nogard had come from.

"I just came from there!" Nogard said. "He's not down there! Are you listening to me? HEY!"
