A LOVE STORY

It was a drunkard’s daughter, the youngest one of three
That liked of her boyfriend as well as well might be
Till looking at a kolboy, most dazzling her eye could see
Her panty fell a-turning.

Long was the combat doubtful that love with love did fight
To leave her boyfriend loveless, or with the kolboy flight
To put in practice either, alas! it was a spite
Unto the silly damsel.

But one must be refused; more mickle was the pain
That nothing could be used to turn them both to gain
For of the two, the poor kolboy was wounded with disdain;
Alas! she could not help him..

Thus art with arms contending was victor of the day,
But her boyfriend drowned while swimming in a bay
Then with dissembled tears, that word hath got the lady gay
For now my song is ended.

Today that stripper has made three babies in that year
One from the knightly kolboy we truly did revere,
The other came from an unknown man we truly can endear
The other sold for two hundred.

That which the scorn the damsel put away
And twice desire, ere it be a glorious day
Sadly then the kolboy passed away
Drowned while swimming in the same placid bay.

Moral Lesson-
If that the world and love were for the young,
And then truth is in every stripper’s tongue,
These pretty pleasures won’t stay for every day
And drown again, again you will repay.

who swarms the streets of any city at night, sometimes,
those who shouts their lungs out in bus terminals to gather
some commuters (hence, kol - call, boy) and sometimes,
still, anyone who looks like one.

mickle - much, many, great
