poem time!

k, this ones cool...

this was an assignment in 6th grade. i had just lost my only three best friends (who were also, turns out, very shallow), and i was deppressed. this is how i wrote. that year i wrote one poem and cried every single day. im working on making it better...


Strong and Alone

I am strong and alone
Wondering what it feels like to be free from all worries and stress
Hearing the sounds of the nighttime hunt of the wolf
and owls swooping silently in on their prey
Seeing a majestic eagle swoop through the crags of canyons
Wanting the violence of the world to stop
Feeling the sapphire crests of the waves break upon my bare skin
I am strong and alone

Pretending to have everything I need
Feeling the loneliness of a person with no one else
Touching the earth and fixing the wrongs done upon it by humanity
Worrying that the people I love most in the world
will slip away from me without me knowing
and being able to be with them
when they leave this earth
Crying for my best friends who are gone
I am strong and alone

Understanding the feelings of people who are hurt, physically or mentally
Saying that anyone can do something for anything they feel a passion for
Dreaming about a world where people aren’t depressed
where everyone has a family to love them before they are lifted away,
and all problems can be easily resolved
Trying to help people who can’t help themselves
Hoping to find a true friend
I am strong and alone
