So I saw Cloverfield today...well, actually that's not entirely true. I only saw about 2/3 of the movie, but I did listen to the whole thing. You see, I had a big lunch before I saw the movie, and I am quite prone to migraines. Here's the thing about Cloverfield- it's shot like the whole movie is done on a camcorder. That might work for The Blaire Witch Project, but when the characters are being chased by the lovechild of Godzilla and Arachnid...not so much. We were in the front row, and the camera was shaking so much I actually got a headache and nausea. I had to close my eyes for fifteen minutes so my head would stop spinning. And it wasn't even a good movie! The only good part of the movie is when they're walking through the subway tunnels in the dark and the guy who was holding the camera randomly says, "Wouldn't it be awesome if a flaming homeless person came running up the tunnel right now?"
