I seriously think these journal entries just get weirder and weirder. But that's ok right? So I think a lot of these journal entries might just be continuing off of my creative writing (class) Journal... Maybe that's why they seem so random... But then again the past two weren't even from CW I just came up with those on my own... eh oh well.
Ok back on task. So I had to go to Ace hardware store to get a paint chip, and I found the perfect colour red. It's Ace's brand of paint, it's shade F4 also called aristocrat. I can't really explain why it's perfect in words but it just is the right amount of black and white, just the right amount so it's not to dark, not to pink, not to light, and not too bright. it's absolutely perfect. It reminds me of sangre (blood). Yes I know red is my favourite colour, but at the same time I can't stand a red that's to bright/orange-y red, like those tomato reds, or clown reds. I think they are absolutely hideous and tacky. No I like the deep reds, the dark reds, the true reds in my mind. I think part of it is somehow with certain shades of red I associate class with it. It's bold, it's sophisticated, it's classy. Need I go on? And if your going to comment on this don't tell me that I'm wrong and that red is "the colour of danger", or "the colour of rage" I don't want to hear it.
But I've noticed that class has gone down hill in fact it seems almost nonexistence. What's up with that? I mean no one really cares about their appearance that much when they go to work, or no one entertains anymore. When I say entertain I don't mean those wild crazy parties (yes I know they're fun but no class at all. I mean seriously) I mean those nice quiet parties true there are drinks but not meant to get drunk but for taste, and the parties are meant for talking getting to know each other more and just enjoy every-one's company (get your mind out of the gutter). That brings up another point in class, cocktail drinks(the classy drinks) aren't popular among young people as much. Sure they drink but it's all party drinks, goes down easy, and meant to get you smashed. What ever happened to drinking a glass of wine with your meal, not to get drunk but to accompany the taste of the meal. Or whatever happened to a late at night drink like a port or sherry before you go to sleep? It's terrible the only reason kids drink is to get drunk not for the taste of it anymore.... I wonder about my generation and how the sophistication is just gone...
