When Michelle reached the top of the hill she saw the village that was once there gone. The ground looked like there was a fire. The ground was charted black and as she looked on she saw an enormous fort. It was made of black stone and built was built so high up and wide. Then as Michelle was looking at the fort she saw a shadow and turned around. As soon as she tuned around someone hit her on the back and made her faint.
Michelle was very drowsy when she woke up and when she finally came too she found out her hands were chained. She looked around and she was in a small black cell. It smelled of soggy air and she really wanted to know what was happening. She also saw many men there and then she heard a familiar voice.
A boy said, "Finally you woke up."
She looked up and nervously said, "Hi if I remember correctly your name is Kane. Umm could you tell me what this place is and why are we chained in here?"
Kane just ignored the girl and just stopped talking to her. As Michelle got angry and told him to listen, nothing changed. He just ignored her so Michelle just gave up. She saw a few guards come down the hall and they announced that we were all going to be executed in two weeks. Michelle was really stunned to see a man come by her cell and said in a eerie tone "hello little lady, you must be the new prisoner that was caught.“ Michelle ignored him and looked away.
"Hmm, you’re quite beautiful. It'll be really lovely to play around with you before your executed."
His voice was sent a chill down her back and made her uneasy. He looked like he wasn't a guard but more like the leader. As he laughed he left with all the guards.
As the days pass Michelle grew weaker and weaker. She could barley stand as the first week passed. They starved every prisoner and didn't let them take a drink of water. After the first week the remaining prisoners were fed a small portion of rice and soup. All the prisoners were just waiting for their death and some even died before the date. Finally the day approached with the full moon gleaming above the fort and all of them were led down the hall with their hands, legs, and neck chained.
Michelle was in the middle of the line. She was shaking and was very scared. Michelle thought of what was awaiting her and the others at the end of the hall. As they were led into a big dark room the doors shut and it turned pitch black. Then the torches lit up and there they saw bones everywhere. Bloodstains were on the walls and the leader appeared. He was dressed in blue armor and had red-fire colored hair. All the guards went behind the huge walls and the leader said, "Let the game begin."
Some of the walls lifted up and many terrifying creatures came out. All of them were big and looked like they were hungry. The monsters charged and Michelle was able to dodge one of them but it got someone behind her. It just made Michelle's heart race and made her panic. It was a bloody nightmare and Michelle and a few others were still a live. Then there were small holes in the wall with many arrows pointed in every direction towards the middle. As the leader gave the signal to shoot the arrows a loud boom echoed the big cell and knocked down the wall.
The attack stopped and the monsters ran back in the walls. It seemed the leader was alarmed and left with all the guards. When the guards left, the room was slowly collapsing. People found ways to escape before the whole roof fell down and crushed them. Michelle didn't know where to run but she saw Kane exit in one of the halls. She ran to try to follow him but he was too fast and her chains made it difficult too run. She lost track of him half way and came to a pathway with three paths. The hall was slowly crumbling and there was a lot of noise. She had no time to waste and tried to pick but all of a sudden one of those creatures from the room broke into the left side of the hall and attacked her. Michelle jumped forward and the top crumbled down on top of it.
Michelle was trembling so much from fear and she just wanted out. She ran down the right hall and continued running down hallway after hallway. She made many twists and turns before she saw a hall with an exit. Michelle was relieved to reach there but she ran on top of the roof. Michelle was terrified to walk farther but a dragon like creature rammed into the hallway behind her, crushing it to pieces. It was very obvious that there was a war happening between two enemies. A blue dragon then smashed into the side of the roof and the force of the impact tossed Michelle into the air. She hit the bottom of the roof and grabbed the edged. As she dangled from the rooftop the pain became apparent. She was bleeding and she smashed her right arm when she hit the roof. Michelle thought to herself if she could jump down but it was at least a forty feet drop down.
She couldn't hold on anymore and lost grip of the edge. When she came closer to hitting the ground she felt the collision. She opened her eyes after she hit the ground. Michelle was surprised that she was still alive. Then she realized she was on top of somebody. It was Kane underneath her.
"Oh I'm so sorry" Michelle said sincerely.
Mad and angry he burst out and said, "You think you’re sorry. That really hurt."
"Like I said I'm sooo sorry and it wasn't my fault for falling"
Kane sighed and said "just forget it I have no time to waste talking to you. Your just lucky that I was below you when you fell or you would have been dead by now."
Then Kane left and ran up the hill that led to the woods. Michelle followed because the battle was getting very intense and she didn't know where to go. When they were on hill Kane yelled at her and asked " Why are you following me?"
"Well I'm not stupid enough to just stay there and get involved in the fight." Michelle retorted back.
Annoyed Kane just ignored her and looked at the battleground. "It seems the rival gang is retreating now. I guess I should go before someone tries to capture me again.” Then Kane started to walk into the forest and Michelle said wait.
"Please let me travel with you. Just until I can find a village to stay at."
"No" Kane argued. "Your such an annoying human. Now if you haven't figured out yet I'm a powerful demon and I don't need weak people like you to bother me."
Michelle just begged and said, "Please just let me travel with you. I don't know what just happened and my memories are blank. I can't remember anything from my past and I could only remember my name. Right now I think you’re the only one I know."
Then Kane pondered and respond, "Fine, but I'm not going to protect you or anything. You have to defend for yourself and you can't expect me to help you anything."
With a smile she said "Okay. Thanks for letting me travel with you until I find a village to stay at."
With a sigh Kane turned around and started walking. He said to himself with his back at Michelle " What a strange girl. She's not even afraid travel with a demon.”
