So I missed a conversation on messenger today because I was asleep. Why blame messenger for this, you say? It was your fault your eyes were closed and away from the monitor, you say?
Because. *nod* Okay, there's more reason to it than that. I set messenger to display alerts when a contact comes online or whenever I get sent a message. I believed this to be the noise it's supposed to make. I turned up the volume, that way if someone messaged me while I was sleeping, I would hear it and wake up. With those precautions set I slumbered off into dreamland. (It was nice).
When I woke up 3 hours later, I discovered that I had missed two of my friends who had a nice long conversation between themselves. So I went back to check my messenger options. Sure enough, I had the alerts checked. But wait, what is this? That doesn't make the sounds? There is another option that sounds just the same that you must also check to hear them? Grrrrrrrrr.
So now it is checked and hopefully this won't happen again.
