All but Gale had awoken the next morning. He still sat in the corner sleeping quietly. The others had started the fire again and started cooking breakfast. No one spoke for fear of waking him. They all knew he had needed the rest for the up coming battles. Cid and Koujin stood up and left the cave to scout ahead. "So when you think he will wake up?" Cid shrugged. They walked up the path which led them up the mountain. They stopped and looked around. In the distance Cid could see a large cloud of dust and within it was something large moving their way. "Koujin... I think he going to be waking up very soon...." "Why...?" Cid pointed up the path to the cloud of dust. Koujin quickly turned and ran back toward the cave. Cid waited there with his hammer in hand.
In the cave Ellie had just sat next to Gale. She poked him a few times. "Gale.. wake up." Gale yawned and opened his eyes. "Ellie...? How long have I been sleeping?" She giggled. "A long time..." Zane was standing at the cave opening. "Hey... I hear Koujin..." They all walked outside to see Koujin charging down the mountain path. "HEEEEEYYYYY!! Somethings coming this way! Cid is up there alone!" Before the others could react Gale had shot past Koujin and was speeding off toward Cid. "Lets go Ellie." Zane Ellie and Koujin all followed him up the path.
Cid watched as large numbers of Deddo got closer and closer. At the front of the group was a large half demon. "Nantao....." Cid sighed and looked back to see Gale as he walked up and stood next to him. "The others will be late... Lets do this...." Cid nodded and together they charged into the hoarde of Deddo.
