How odd is that, ne?
Accidental Death by: Alpha_Alien
"Wow...."Michelle and Michale said in unison, starring up at the house before them. They had just moved there from their old house in South Dakota. "I didn't know houses were this big!" Michelle exclaimed, bouncing on the balls of her feet. michale, looekd at his twin. "Of couse they do! Our house was to small, this should give us, Mum, and Dad enough room to relax around." Michelle looked oddly at him. "Ri-i-ight..." The two went inside, seeing the house wasn't very well kept. "Looks like the four of us will be doing some house work for a while. "Their mother said, placing a hand on both child's shoulder. The two sighed, and looked at each other. "Hey," said Michelle, as thier mother left to help their dad bring in some stuff, "I heard some kids across the street talking about this place being haunted." "Haunted?" the two shared a laugh, then went to explore their new home. They saw a set of stairs, leading up to the attic. "Probibly dust covered." "Probibly unsafe." "Probibly." "Yeah." The two looked at each other, adn shrugged. "We'll check it out later." Michale said, dragging his sister away from the steps. "O.K." Michelle said, walking behind him.

That night, Michelle and Michale woke up to a loud thump! The two looked at each other. "You hear that?" "Yeah, what was it?" "Dunno." The two were silent as antoher thump echoed, closer this time. The two held onto each other, glad they closed and locked their door as routine. Soon, the doorknob jiggled. The sibling shivered, as the doorknob stopped jiggling, and the someone-or something-pounded on the door. After a good five minutes, whatever was on the otherside of the door stopped, and the twins heard footsteps walking away. Michelle was the first to speak. "What was that thing?" "I have no clue." They looked at eachother, and neitehr slept the rest of the night.

"Michelle? Michale? What on earth is wrong with you? You look like you haven't slept in ages!" their mother exclaimed a few days later. True, they hadn't been asleep. Not after their first night's scare. They always heard that thing pounding on their door. Last night, the door started to bend, from being pounded on so much, and the twins didn't dare breath, until it left. "No mom, just h-h-had a rough night." Michale said, yawning, and Michelle nodded, rubbing her eyes. Their mother nodded, understandingly, and smiled. "Well, get untired, and ready for school. You're going to be late." The siblings nodded, ate their breakfast quietly, got ready for school, and left.

After school lat out, the two raced home, happy that it was over. When they got home, they learned their mother and father were still at work. The kids sat on the couch, and started to read when a loud crash came over head. "What the heck was that?" "Only one way to find out, C'mon, Michelle!" Michale got up, and ran up the stairs twards the source of the crash, Michelle followed soon after. They searched the entire second floor, before looking over at the steps of the attic, and saw the attic door open. The twins gulpped, and started to assend the stairs, hearing the creaks under their feet. When they reached the attic door, they looked inside. It was very dirty. "Wow..we need to redecorate up here." Michelle said, climbing up the last few steps, behind her brother. They looked for the source of the crashes, and saw two portraits face over, shattered glass around them. Michale waled twards them, while Michelle stayed near the stair case. As Michale turned one portrait over, he heard a scream. "Michelle!" Michale turned, just as Michelle's feet dissapeared down the stairs. Thuds were heard, and a loud, sickening, crack of bone breaking. "Oh, crap!" He ran over, and peered down, seeing his dead sister's body. Michale stepped back, feeling sick. His back hit a window. He turned around, seeing the grass three stories below. Turning back, he saw two kids, a boy and girl, shove their hands twards him, pushing him out the window. The last thing he saw, were the kids laughing. Then, darkness.

Mrs. Anderson couldn't think of what had killed Michelle and Michale. They loved her and her husband, and each other. She burried her face in her hands, and sobbed. Mr. Anderson placed a comforting arm around his wife. He did not dare tell her what the guys at work told him about the place. Saying that fifteen years ago, two kids were playing in the attic, when one fell down the stairs, breaking her neck, while the other fell from the window, a look of shock at his dead friends body at the bottom of the stairs.

The End
