"Oi! Lemme go!" "Quiet down, kid..." The guard murmured, keeping a strong hold on the struggling boy. "Lemme go!" He cried out again, attempting to get a good kick at the guards legs. "Yer gonna regret makin' so much noise this late... the others kept here won't be happy about waking up." "Le'. Me. GO!" The boy bellowed, finally pulling free from the mans grasp. "'EY!" The guard yelled, turning to catch the boys quick movements. He raced back up the stone corridor making sharp turns and climbing the steps as they met his feet. Though it was dark he dared not hesitate. Skinned toes had nothing on getting from the guards grasp. "Ah!" A small cry of pain as he hit his foot particularly hard on one of the steps and fell to his hands. A small crack noise issued from his wrist. "Get back here!" The guard roared from somewhere back in the darkness. "Damn..." hissed he, as he clambered to his feet and made to go forward, clutching his wrist. Before he had gotten far a strong hand grabbed the thin clothe hood that hung from the back of his shirt. "Gotcha!" "No!" He spun around, slamming his good hand against the guard, aiming for a weak point in the wrist. The guard quickly released, clutching his own wrist for a second before making to grab the boy again. He dashed down the corridor in the opposite direction of the guard. Finding more steps he ran them until the cold stone floor leveled under his feet and he felt around for a branching corridor. None. Only the stone wall. Behind him the guard stomped up the steps with faster pace than seemed possible, considering the mans bulk. "No-" He felt around the cold stone frantically. "No... This can't be-" A large hand fell on his shoulder. "Dead-end," He didn't have to see the guards face to hear the triumphant smirk that played on it. "I'm not going back!" The boy yelled, turning so fast the heavy hand lifted from it. He turned to run back down the steps but the hand reached out again. The boy slammed his hand down on the mans wrist again before remembering the broken wrist. The searing burning sensation bolted up his arm like electricity. "Agh!" He yelled gripping his wrist again and loosing his tip-toed balance, falling backwards. "AH!" His eyes widened as he tumbled down the steps until he met the bottom, unconscious.
