I'm so happy! Pat got a lil' puppy! Well... she's over a year and a half old. But she's adorable! Her name is Iris, and she's so sweet. She's a boarder-collie, and she was abused. She was hit by a car; now she has a broken leg. So Pat's her "foster father" for a few weeks. And whenever I go over there, I'm her "foster mother." So yeah. :] I figured not to get my hopes up. But I don't really care about getting stuff like that. Just knowing that he loves me is plenty enough. Okay. Time for a mini-rant.
I hate guys who think they have to "buy" their way to a girl's heart. Guys; if you're yourself, girls will like you. Trust me! Same goes to girls, too! Pat was himself, and I was myself. He hung-out with our "clique" at lunch, and he got to know everybody. Personally, I was thinking, "Oh. He must like Amanda or Tina... Not me..." Amanda and Tina are GORGEOUS compared to me... anyway. I told Natalie that I really liked Pat... and so I asked her to ask him if he liked me. Apparently, it was obvious to everybody that he likes me BUT me. So he asked me out the same day... Anyhoo. Back to the rant-topic. I think that guys who buy their way into a girls heart is lame. Either the girl/boy likes you for who you are. Not what you have; not what kind of money you have; not the amount of your income. Yeah, it is a nice plus, but if a girl is sincere, she won't care about that sort of thing. Honestly. Pat got me Transformers the Movie for our two-month, then last week, he got me the Spiderman Trilogy. Yeah, I like the gifts. But that's not why I love him. He's himself, and he's not afraid to say, "If somebody doesn't like me for me, then ******** 'em."
Okay. End rant. So today, before Pat left, I was brushing my hair in the bathroom. He walks in, turns me around, and wraps his arms around my waist. He looks at me and whispers, "Marry me?" I smiled and said, "Of course I will." And before that...! We were watching Forrest Gump, cuddling on my bed. When Forrest asks Jenny to marry him, Pat said, "I wish I had a ring to show others that you're my fionce..." I whispered back, "Rings and items can't show people how much we love each other." He smiled and softly kissed me. And I asked him sometime today, "Is it alright for me to introduce you as my fionce to my friends who don't know you?" He got the biggest smile ever, and said, "Sure... future Mrs. Daly." He's been calling me that for a few days now! Everytime he does, I get excited. My heart beats all fast... and I like... have a hard time breathing. Lol. It's a good feeling, though. He is the only one for me. Sorry if this is really mushy-gushy.
