random story from my head. (starts from the middle)
... Feeling the icy rain pooring down her face and back, she slowly aproached the familiar house. A bit hesitant to come over unanounced, yet relieved to be free of her previous situation, Lily carefully lifted herself up the small stepway and placed herself infront of the entrance doors. Two beautifull carved doors of Maple wood towered before her. Mystic Runes ran along the edges of the doors were laced in a moon-light shade of silver, as to match the silver knobs and archway which casted a pale glow over her cold wet skin. She took a deep breath to center herself and began to straighten out her soaked, torn, jet black dress shirt. Then resided to brushing as much debris as she could off her jeans, and using her icy wet fingers unknotted most of the drentched and tangled mass of dark chocolate brown hair that flowed down from the tops of her head only to stick irratingly to the back of her neck and arms. With one last deep breath to calm her mind, body, and nerves, Lily lifted her arm to nearly shoulder height and hit the door to her right with three solid knocks. To her surprise she found the door relatively warm and dry. In the spot where she had knocked a pleasant frangrance of Peppermint, Lavender, and Vanilla permeated the air for a breif second before it was gone. The smell was so delightful that it brought a sudden healthy glow to Lily's face and as soon as it had come was also gone. That unnexpected and curious instance of warmth and calmness left her yerning for just a bit more while she waited. "One more knock won't hurt anything." And as she lifted her arm up once again to strike the same door from which she had knocked on so many times without ever noticing the strange and beautiful frangrance, the other door opened. Out of the slight crack poked and ear. It was quiet similar to that of a small dog, except for the fact that the ear was a musty green color and covered in scales. Right below it slipped out a hand that gripped the very edge of the closed door as if danger would befall it if the hand moved out any further. This too was covered in the same musty scales as the ear above. Lily walked toward the hand just enough to make out that it wasn’t a hand at all, but a dragon’s claw, only it was a tiny fraction of the size of these monstrous creatures she had heard about in fairytales. The nails on the claw looked as if they have been delicately carved out of Hematite, each one to it’s own special purpose. She leaned in a bit closer to take in the beauty of the dark stone nails, as she did so the creature burst out the crack, flinging the already partly opened left door practically off it hinges. “Did you take bloody long enough?!?” Snapped the curious looking creature as it landed square in front of her. Take me bloody long enough? The question itself caught Lily so off guard that she didn’t even recognize the creature for what he really was.
