Today I went to Hot Topic at the Mall of America to get some patches to put on my new jacket. When we finally found it (the main store was under construction and the merchandise all got moved to an empty space halfway around the mall) it turned out that the entire stock was on sale for 75% off. Naturally, I went nuts and bought everything that struck my fancy (two shirts, earings, a necklace, two pairs of gloves, and Paul's birthday present) and only paid twenty bucks. I was quite content at this point, and was leaving the store, when I was jumped by Vanessa and held hostage for five whole minutes (the horror). I then escaped, only to realise that I never got the one thing I came to get in the first place. O, the power of a short attention span.
