Thyna's Wanderings
If you know what a kender is, you will understand. If not, this is going to be a collection of random stuff depending on how I feel, the events of the day, web sites, personal interests, trinkets, collectables and stuff from my pockets :)

Last night's dream was the easy bit... |

The dream started off with me being an invisible observer of some guy making fun of a family (a grandma, a young boy, 2 women, 2 men) for believing they were going to be visited by aliens. As he did his thing, I was able to see that there were "greys" lurking around that the skeptic couldn't see. Suddenly there was a brilliant flash of light and complete darkness.
When I was able to see, I was standing in my local hospital's Dietary preparation room. I was just finishing spreading marmelade on a hot cross bun and adding it to a bag with other sandwiches. Because I knew staff don't like non-staff people down there I quickly made it to the elevator, taking the sandwiches with me.
On the main floor, I was stopped by a nurse who needed some assistance. Apparently there had been several accidents, and the hospital had the room, but not the staff availible to assist the number of casualties coming in. And I was asked if I could watch over some people to make sure nothing went wrong and keep them comfy until a nurse was able to assist them.
Turns out it was the family I had seen before, some accident the nurse wasn't sure of the details had left the family with some burns and unconcious, while a 7th person was a complete basket case and needed to be sedated. Anyway, I sat with the family, and spoke with them as they woke up, and the hot cross buns I had prepared earlier were some sort if indication to the family that I knew about the aliens and they could trust me.
But that was as far at I got in the dream. I suddenly felt as if something had grabbed my heart, yanked me backwards and slammed me into my body. I woke with a jolt as if I had fallen, felt as if something was blocking my nose and mouth and preventing me from breathing. But there was nothing there and my breathing was normal. My chest felt heavy, and actually I felt as if I had been trying to suck back on an ice cream milkshake non stop for some time.
The dream itself is no big deal. It was the second time I've had a dream about assisting the staff there to watch over someone due to poor staffing during a crisis, the aliens, well, you have to know some thing about me and my family to know where that came from. But the last little bit really freaked me out. Logically, I could have been in such a deep sleep that I forgot to breath, or had smushed my face into a pillow for too long to cause the suffication feeling. But that doesn't really explain the jolt.
Illogically, I was thinking alien abduction, levitation, astral travel where my soul cord (or whatever it is called) got stretched too far and like a bungy cord yanked me back to its normal position. But no mater what caused the after effects...It really freaked me out!
