Today was SO MUCH FUN! We went to the Challenger Center in Bangor, which is a place where you can go and learn what astronauts do in space! Our mission was called Rendezvous with a Comet, and we had to build a probe and navigate it so it landed on Comet Enke, but on the way we find a comet of our own and name it, and decide to send the probe to that one instead. I had the most fun job of all, BUIDLING THE PROBE! *grins widely* I had to work with Chris and Jared, but they were cool. First, I was in Mission Control, by myself. That's on Earth, when you're at the computers telling the people in the space station (which for me was Chris and Jared) what to do. Coty (the hottest guy in school) was supposed to be my partner but he got in trouble, Gaddamn him! XD Anyways, at Mission Control there are two screens: one is a computer screen and the other is a video screen, where you can see what your teammates in the Space Station are doing via a video camera. You also talk to them and give them instructions using a headset. Chris had put his on and he was singing into it when we began, and I went: "Chris, stop singing!" and he goes: "Whoa! You can hear me?" XD Then I told him and Jared how to build the probe. Then Mission Control and Space Station had to switch places, and I got to go to the Space Station! I got my very own room, in Space Station there are three rooms: The main room, the isolation room, and the probe room; my room. ^^ I was in there all by myself, But it was fun. Chris gave me intructions through the headset, and he made me look at the camera and wave, and he went: "Smile, you're on Candid Camera!" And he told me I looked weird on camera, XD. So, I finished building the probe and we sent it off into space! The navigation team figured out where on our comet to send the probe. I was so happy when the probe thingie was successful, and it didn't blow up! XD
Oh, and after I got home from school Mom was talking on the phoen with her friend, who has a son and a daughter whose pictures are on our refrigerator. One's name is Adam and he's CUTE! My mom (on the phone) came over and asked me when my Funtown trip was. When I asked her why she said because Adam was going on the same day I was! I was SO happy! XD Then she came in later and told me it may not be the same day, and then I said: "Oh well, I'm taken anyway." And she goes: "Yeah, you're fiance." I couldn't believe it, she called Jake my fiance! That is so amazing, XD
