There are three sources, three ideas or innate instincts that can lead to atheism.

(1) A human's natural instinct to rebel against what they are told to be correct.
(2) The human desire to prove something greater than oneself false, so that he or she may take pride in proving something else true.
(3) Ignorance of an entire circumstance, and the possible unwillingness to learn or even listen to reason.

The third seems to be the most prevalent among many people. Most atheist have been lied to, they've been told that disbelief is more logical that faith, that Christianity or -any- religion is as illogical as the Easter Bunny or as Santa. Then, finding society to accept such a flawed belief, they decide to accept atheism rather than looking into the matter.

However, Christianity, or even religion in general is quite practical. Biochemists and mathematicians have calculated the odds against life arising from non-life naturally via unintelligent processes. The odds are astronomical. In fact, scientists aren't even sure if life could have evolved naturally via unintelligent processes. In short, it is highly unlikely that life could arise simply by chance. Yet atheism teaches us exactly that.

Even more convincing is that people of every race, creed, color, and culture, both men and women, young and old, wise and foolish, from the educated to the ignorant, claim to have personally experienced something of the supernatural. Prodigious accounts of divine healing, prophetic revelation, answered prayer, and other miraculous phenomena.

The evidence of God's existence is overwhelming even though many do not accept Him now just as they didn't accept Him when He was on earth as a man. However, that lack of acceptance had and has nothing to do with the facts.

Actually, when presenting such evidence to an atheist, this christian found that they had little evidence to defend their non-belief. In fact, said atheist even admitted to having little knowledge on the matter. When I questioned further, how they made such a life altering decision without knowing the facts on the matter, I was given no reply. The truth, however, is apparent.

The opinion of many atheist, is not actually an opinion but an adopted view given to him or her by society's popular majority. Simply put, if the popular majority of people say that Christianity is wrong, that it is illogical (such criticisms as can be seen on shows such as Family Guy, Futurama, Robot Chicken, South Park, etc.), than people are more inclined to see it as illogical. By the same standard, if they were to say that atheism -is- however logical, than it would be seen as logical by others, inspite of the facts.

If one were to simply observe the facts however, he or she would see that atheism makes little logical sense, and Christianity, among all other beliefs makes more sense than scientific law. Sadly, people will not look into the matter, as many may have already stopped reading this article. In the stubborn nature that is within all human beings, atheists do not want to be proven wrong, they want to believe (as in the above quote) that they are correct, and that society's criticism's are not unfounded and pointless.

That is why I challenge atheist readers to look into their own beliefs, know what you are believing, what you are living. Also, I challenge my Christian readers to learn about the logic in their own beliefs and in the Bible, so that they too can spread infectious knowledge. Be safe, keep informed.
