Wooot! I’m back! Didja miss me? I see from my friend’s journals that gaia was glitchy this weekend so I guess I didn't miss much here. So why am I back so early? Well....

The trip was great, the weather during the day was really nice but at night it got wicked cold and we didn't have enough blankets so we froze, lol. It had apparently stormed really bad up there the week before we went so a lot of the wood was too wet to burn. You couldn't use any wood that was lying on the ground, but if it was up on other logs it was dry enough to burn. There was plenty like that but they were like whole trees and we had to saw off chunks of them in order to get them back to the camp site and then split them for burning (which they did only reluctantly). My new camp gear is super awesome, but the tent is much larger than my old one and doesn't warm up from body heat like the old one did. Speaking of tents - I couldn't be happier with my new one overall. It went up quick and easy and packed up just as well. It’s huge compared to my old one and it looks like a little house! I think it's cute.... anyway, even though it was nice during the day it was painful at night and we decided to call it a short trip and packed up our gear Sunday afternoon. We were a little sad to be leaving so early…it was sunny and beautiful out. But off we went. I woke up this morning in my own bed and used a toilet that flushes and flipped on the weather channel. lmao!! It rained up there last night! And it’s raining there today! Lol, I mean we packed up dry gear and had an enjoyable ride home with beautiful weather and if we’d waited till the next day we’d have been scrambling around trying to pack wet gear and driving home in the rain. Lol, I feel lucky! I haven’t put the pics at flickr yet but as soon as I do I’ll put a link in a journal entry.
Then I went online to gaia and was nervous about even attempting to go to town, the site was laggy and everyone was saying it was glitchy. But I gave it a shot. I couldn’t get into areas where there were a lot of people but I found and empty place to explore. Towns look great! The trees are all draped with banners and instead of bushes and rocks we have tropical plants and sand piles. I also saw the pools! Omg, they’re awesome! You can even swim in them! lol! Anyway while I was hopping around I found a giftbox! Lol, did I say I feel lucky? It’s my first one ever! Whoohoo! Well, I’m gonna surf around for a little bit and then go upload some photos of the trip. If you see me around town be sure to lob a water balloon at me…we froggies like to get wet!
