"Ambushed by Renstok," Xangord mumbled. "Caught me off guard. Kidnapped Xink."
Xangord's eyelids were so heavy. She knew she needed to stay awake...but it was hard to do so. Just a little nap would do then she'd go after Xink and kill every--there was something wrong with the way n** had looked when she picked Xangord up.
Forcing her eyes open, Xangord asked, "S'rong with n**?"
From the couch, Mokona said worriedly, "Puu?"

Results
"Did that thing just call me an 'it'?" Nerissa's hologram asked as she began running a diagnostic scan on Shalimar.
"Ignore it," Wynn said. "Trust me. There are worse things out there than pixies who don't know when to shut their traps."
"For a pixie, she's rather insulting," Nerissa replied, using her display screen form. Next to her was the results of the diagnostic scan. "Aside from being pregnant, Shalimar's perfectly healthy."
"Preg--wait--what?!" Wynn and Lord Avondale asked.
"Her pregnancy," Nerissa replied, "like Dragon's was, is different than what it normally should be. Though slower than Dragon's, Shalimar's pregnancy is accelerated. I cannot place the time when she was impregnated, nor when she will lay the egg."
Looking over at Holly and remembering how she had acted when asked about Shalimar, Wynn said, "You knew!"
"You asked if there was something was wrong with her," Holly replied. "Not different; wrong. There's a difference between 'wrong' and 'different.' "
"But it'd encompass the same thing since she's pregnant! We're going up against Renstok! She can't fight them!"
"Oh she won't be showing for a while so it won't affect her in the battle. Though after the battle is going to be a slightly different story. I suggest no one tells her or Dragon until much later. We need them to concentrate on getting Nogard and Xink back first."
"Fine," Wynn said. Looking at Rose, she said, "I know you're her aunt so this news does not leave this room. If that bug of yours lets it slip, I will eat it; okay?"

Returning to the Ship
Opening a com line to Dragon's ship, n** said, "Dragonfly to Nerissa Altsoba."
"Go ahead n**," Dragon said. n** heard an edge in her voice and wondered where it was from.
"I've got Xangord and I'm about to come back aboard."
"How is she?" Dragon asked. The edge was softened by worry. "Hangar bay 384."
"Not good. I've got Taran working on her but he may need help."
"Bring her to Medic Bay 813 [+1] where everyone else is at."
"I'll pass the word to Taran. I...I'll be in my quarters for a while."
"Why?"
"I'll explain later," n** replied. Flipping on the internal com system, n** called to Taran. "We're going to be landing shortly in Hangar 384. Dragon says to take Xangord to Med Deck 813 with the others. I'll be in my quarters."
