Rantings of a Diseased Mind
All those who read further beware, for your brain shall liquify, drip out your nostrils, and flush itself down the toilet.
Day Twenty-Nine - The Diabeetus Club.
Today was uneventful, but none the less entertaining. Earlier I went over to Katie's for yet another of our book trade-offs. I gave back her Rurouni Kenshin vols. 17-22 and gave her all six of my Death Note books. She was SUPPOSED to give me Kenshin 23-28. We traded books, played with Rex for a few minutes, and then I went home. I picked up the first book to read and realized I had no idea what was happening on that page, so I looked at the front and realized I had #24, not #23. So I looked, and thought she forgot to give me 23. I called her, and it turns out not only does she not own #23, she's never read it. But she HAS read the last five books in the series after it. I'm surrounded by idiots. Now I have to go buy that one. Grrr. Also, a few minutes ago my Uncle Mike called. Apparently he had to take Sarah, my 19-year-old cousin, to the doctor and she had to get a blood test to see if she has a hormone imbalance. 1) Sarah is afraid of needles and 2) she read the little pamphlet about blood tests and is now convinced that she has diabetes. I wasn't actually the one who talked to Uncle Mike, my mom was and I heard this from her. When she was telling me she pronounced diabetes as 'diabeetus'. As many around me know, few things amuse me more than Wilford Brimley and his horrid diabeetus commercials. Mom apparently forgot and couldn't figure out why I kept laughing every time she said "diabeetus". Oh the thrills I have at the cost of others' sanity mrgreen
