Review
Well this game was bought for me for Christmas 2006 I had no idea what it was like. I just knew some characters from a different game. I’m pleased to say that I was not disappointed. The game combines an advanced storyline with skilled strategy. You have to think 2 moves ahead or you will quickly loose. Anyone who dies in the game does not come back which gives you added incentive to perform well.
Characters
There are over 60 characters in fire emblem so I will describe only the key characters and their role in the game.
Ike(main hero): Ike starts out as a trainie for the mercenaries and quickly proves himself as a fearless leader brave and confident. He soon becomes the comander of an entire army as he protects Elincia and hunts down the black knight.
Greil: the comander of the Greil mercenaries and Ike's father. He is a legendary fighter and a mighty leader. Greil is struck down by the black knight forcing Ike to take charge of the mecenaries
Elincia: Princess of camea. She calls on Ike to protect her and take her to the country of galia after her parents are murdered. She is caught up in a war between countries and Ike has to protect her as general.
Titania: One of the Greil mercenaries she is loyal and noble and also powerfull.
The black knight: A mysterious warrior who kills Ikes father. He a strong warrior with armor as black as his heart
Soren: Soren is cold hearted and illtempered. That makes him an execellent stategist who will aid Ike when planning battle strategies
Ashnard: The evil king of the Dein army. He is trying to rule the world by first conquering the country of Camea then moving on to fight the Laguz. Only Ike and Elencia stand in his way
Laguz: The laguz are half creature half human. There are several different types of laguz which are as follows:
Beast tribe: a tribe of humans able to turn into tigers and cats
Bird tribes: there are 3 types of bird tribes the hawks, the crows, and the heron
Dragon tribe: part dragon part human the dragons are much stronger than any other tribe
Basic story
Ike, the son of Greil, begins the game as the newest member of his father's mercenary company, the Greil Mercenaries. Elincia princess of Camea finds the company and asks their help in protecting her from the rival country Deon. Deon's forces have already killed the rest of her family. The Greil Mercenaries agree to take her to the neighboring country of Galia, home of the beast tribe. Whilst fleeing Camea, Greil is killed by the black night. Ike is now the leader of the mercenaries succeeds in helping the princess to Galia and agrees to protect her throughout the war engulfing the countries. Now Ike must defeat Deon and restore Crimea's royalty to the throne.
