My opinion on guns v swords
My opinion is that people had to know that they were going to kill somone back when they used swords. They fought one on one to the death (possibly) and killed the other person. Then they watched him die. (since they still thought women were only good for housework at that point) Now, the closest thing to that is the sniper rifle, where you actually have the moment before you shoot him that your killing someone. Other weapons like machine guns, you sweep over a few dozen people at a time, everyone dieing without you realizing that in one day you killed dozens of people, who spent their entire lives, growing up, (maybe) going to school, getting a job, joining the army, getting trained for a long time, then it ends in the half of a second that it takes for you to pull a trigger. I support swords, guns take away the realization of ending another persons life. With a sword you needed to have honor, or you wouldn't be able to take the fact that you killed a person. Only a person with a stong heart and a strong reason, would kill. Now they do it by the hundreds and just shake it off. You show me a person that would kill a person with a gun from 300 feet away by shooting him in the leg once, that can duel the man with a sword for minutes on end, stab the man multiple times, kill the man and watch him die. Show me a man that can do that and tell me that both ways feel the same. If you show me someone who can say that, I can show you someone who has serious problems.
