	Thyna's Wanderings If you know what a kender is, you will understand. If not, this is going to be a collection of random stuff depending on how I feel, the events of the day, web sites, personal interests, trinkets, collectables and stuff from my pockets :)

My family had their annual Family reunion today. It kind of snuck up on me this year, but it is an easy thing to prepare for. We usually meet at a park and stuff our faces while the kids find ways to entertain themselves. So all I had to do was stop in at the grocery store, grab a watermelon, some pop and cups and off I went. This year it felt kind of odd. With uncle Gerry not being physically present, I mean. My family had always made an effort to find a way of including him in such events. A couple of times my family would tease him saying that if they couldn't get a Wheel chair accessable vehicle they would either find a flat bed truck, or a tow rope to make sure he made it. This year we didn't have to do that. Funny thing was, I know he was there, in spirit anyway. I didn't want to mention it to my family as I didn't want to start the tears, or for the non-believers to think I was nuts, but at one point I am positive I heard him laughing and asking me how I was. When I was a kid, someone use to set up games for the kids. But then at the time the gatherings had under 200 people attend them. The past 3 I think we were lucky if we got 30. So the games were put on hold. Last year I tried to bring them back, but the kids were a bit on the young side, and only wanted the candy. So I didn't bother with that this year. Much to the dismay of the kids. But I had brought some sand toys and the kids made some castles and such, so they were happy. And the adults just chatted. It was a typical reunion.
