~~~Episode Seventeen~~~
Giox smiled, the blue glow around her hands increasing at an alarming rate.
"You little brats are a thorn in my side...so its time to take care of you."
she said. She knelt, touching her hands to the ground. Instantly, ice sprang forth from her palms, streaking wildly across the floor in every direction. Yuri jumped up as it came towards her, continuing on up the walls. Haku glared, stepping over the ice,
"Shes creating a giant ice room!" Zeph said as he too jumped to dodge the spreading ice. Soon, ice surrounded them entirely, trapping all four of them in an ice crystal. Giox stood, flicking one of her ponytails.
"There, now you cant go running off."
Haku stepped forward, gripping his katana.
"We aren't going anywhere. You just screwed yourself, because your stuck in here with us!"
Giox laughed, "Who said I was stuck?" she asked in a teasing voice.
Haku raised a brow, wondering what she meant. Giox stepped back, and suddenly dissapeared in to the ice covered ground.
"What the?!" Haku exclaimed. Zeph tensed, looking around.
"Damn...she can travel through the ice she created..."
he said, holding his whip at ready. Yuri stepped back a little, cautiously looking around. Haku cried out in pain as a flash of black shot past him, and blood splattered the ground as his jacket was torn. Yuri and Zeph whipped around,
"Haku!" Yuri called. Giox stood not far away, smiling. In her hand was a sword like spike made of crystal. The blade of the strange weapon was covered in blood and had torn through Haku's thick jacket with ease. Haku held his side, glaring at Giox as Yuri and Zeph ran to him. Giox cackled in a child like manner,
"Your so slow! I thought this would be somewhat of a challenge!" she mocked.
Haku stood straight,
"Shut your mouth!" he snapped. Without warning, he darted forward, running at her. Giox stood a little straighter, Haku coming right at her. He shouted, leaping and slashing forward with both blades. Giox was hit dead on, and Haku smiled in triumph. The blades cut into Giox, and a blue flash lit her wounds. Haku went to pull his katana back, and his smile faded instantly as he realized he couldn't pull them free.
"Foolish little boy."
Yuri and Zeph turned to see Giox leaning against the opposite wall, smiling.
"Haku! Its a trap!" Zeph shouted. Haku went to leap back when the fake Giox self-destructed, throwing a thick cloud of smoke into the air. Yuri and Zeph went to run forward when hundreds of ice needles were thrown from the smoke.
"Firaga Wall!" Yuri called, throwing a fire wall to protect Zeph and herself. The ice needles hit the flames, and Yuri's eyes widened as she saw metal needles incased within the ice ones. Yuri and Zeph shouted in pain as they were pierced and slashed with needle after needle, taken by surprise. The two fell to the ground, and Giox laughed with joy.
"This is so much fun!" she giggled, twirling around. The smoke cleared, and Haku stood, coughing. He was torn up from the blast, but his thick clothes had protected him mostly. He picked up his katana, turning with a glare.
"You son of a-"
"Uh uh! No bad words little boy!" Giox teased. Haku shuddered slightly, his wound paining him. Yuri and Zeph stood slowly, Yuri pulling a needle from her arm and legs.
"Shes way to fast...I didn't even see her create that fake." Zeph said, pulling a needle from his chest, wincing as it was pulled free of his skin. Yuri's hands sparked with electricity.
"If we dont get her quickly, she'll cream us."
Haku came up to them,
"You two ok?" he asked.
They nodded, and Giox stepped forward.
"Awww! Are you already tired?" she asked, faking a sad face. Haku narrowed his eyes,
"This is her own territory...we cant even touch her with all this damn ice."
Zeph suddenly blinked,
"Wait! Thats it!" he turned to Yuri,
"Could you create a vortex of fire strong enough to melt this place?" he asked, lowering his voice. She nodded,
"Probably, but she would take me out before I could charge up enough energy."
Zeph turned, looking at Giox,
"Leave her to Haku and I. Just start powering up." he said. Haku nodded,
"Hurry Yuri." he said.
Zeph and Haku ran forward, and Giox smiled.
"Yay! Time to play!" she said. Ice spikes started to rupture through the ground, jabbing at the two as they made their way towards Giox. Yuri watched them for a moment before closing her eyes and putting her hands together, concentrating on building up the fire within her.
Zeph leapt up, letting a spike carry him up ward before he cracked his whip, sending ice needles at Giox. Giox smiled, another spike shooting forth to block the attack.
"Nice try, but nope!" Giox teased. Suddenly the spike broke, and Zeph smiled as his whip sliced through it,
"Who said that was my attack?" he asked. Giox went to leap back, but Zeph was faster, cracking his whip. It wrapped around Giox painfully tight, and Giox glared.
"You little-"
"No bad words!" Haku shouted. He came up from behind Giox surprisingly fast, and Giox turned just as Haku lashed out. Blood splattered the ice covered ground, and Giox screamed in pain. Haku smiled, landing beside Zeph.
"Got you." he said. Giox stood rigid, her body shaking slightly. Suddenly, a blue aura surrounded her entire body. Zeph's eyes widened slightly as the blue aura went through his whip. There was a flash and both Zeph and Haku were sent crashing back through the ice spikes, there weapons flying out of there hands and falling farther away. Haku sat up, rubbing his head,
"Holy-" he started, but stopped as Giox stood fully, the blue aura around her flickering like blue flames.
"No ones ever hurt me before..." she said softly. She looked up, her yellow eyes sparking with anger,
"...and you shall die for it!" she shrieked. The ground shook as she stood, and Haku and Zeph leapt to their feet as spikes of ice started to shoot up from the ground and down from the cieling madly. Giox laughed,
"I'll cut you to bits!" she cackled.
Haku was knocked off his feet, and he smacked down onto the ice. His hands shook faintly as he sat up, and his eyes widened as an enourmous spike of ice came down towards him. He closed his eyes, ready for the blow.
"Firdaga Tornado!"
Haku put his hands over his head as flames burst forth, dissolving the ice instantly on contact. Zeph shouted, quickly ducking down as well. Steam filled the air as the sound of sizzling ice echoed through out the area. Haku coughed, sweating horribly as the heat increased. He opened his eyes to see he was sitting in a large puddle, and was soaked. Giox was on her knees, scorched faintly. Her mask lay on the ground in front of her, still burning. Yuri shook, exhausted from the fire attack. Zeph sat up, shaking his head and sending beadlets of water everywhere.
"Damn." he said, looking around. The ice was completely gone, leaving a wet and burnt area around. Yuri looked forward as Giox stood. Giox laughed faintly, looking up at Yuri. She was just as wet as Haku and Zeph, and looked horrible.
"Y-you....you destroyed my precious ice...you ruined...my game..." she said. The blue aura began to surround Giox once more as her smile darkened.
"I'LL KILL YOU!" she shrieked in anger. Yuri narrowed her eyes as Giox came screaming forward,
"Haku, Zeph, jump!" she shouted. The two stood and, without question, jumped up into the air. Yuri did the same, and electricity sparked around her finger tips.
"Thundaga Blitz!" Yuri yelled. Lightning came streaking down violently. Giox's eyes widened, but before she could utter a single word, the lightning hit the ground. With explosive force, it charged through the water, and spread. It jolted through Giox, who screamed in agonizing pain. The lightning attacked ended, and Giox fell limply to the ground, her eyes dark and skinned burned.
The water had been evaporated by the electric attack, and the three slowly walked towards Giox's charred body.
"Nice move Yuri." Haku said with a smile. Yuri nodded weakly,
"Yeah...guess it was." she said. Giox suddenly began to dissolve into strange black, tattered pieces. Haku narrowed his eyes,
"A nobody." he said. Yuri and Zeph looked at Haku,
"A nobody?" Yuri asked as Giox completely dissapeared. Haku nodded a little,
"There beings without hearts...but I thought they had all been killed by the keybearer." he said. They stood there for a moment, then Zeph looked ahead.
"Guys, we should go to the throne room. Now that Giox is dead, we may have a chance to change the King's mind about how things are run here."
Haku nodded,
"Right, lead the way Zeph."
