Yay, my second journal entry! I figured I would share a quick ghost story that happened to me.

I was 5 years old and layying in bed. Through the corner of my eye I daw a woman come into the room. She was wearing an old fashioned looking dress. It was not a ball dress or anything really fancy. It looked more like a house dress with a print on it of some sort of pattern, maybe calico. She also had some sort of shawl or something over her shoulders. The weird thing was she was glowing in blue. There was an aura of sorts around her that was glowing.

She leaned over and pulled the covers up over my shoulders and tucked me in. The weird thing is the entire time she was doing this I had this thought in my head that it was "mommy" but as soon as she finished and left the room I remember thinking wait a minute, that's NOT mommy and I raced out of the room but she was gone.

Now I wonder at my reaction. I should have been a lot more startled and why did I think it was my mom when I could see it looked nothing like mom. Was some thought being placed in my mind to keep me calm? It's just an idea I have been tossing around. Can ghosts do the equivalent of the Jedi mind trick? question

The house was built by my grandfather in the 50's and I do not know anyone who died that wore anything like that. I have no idea where it comes from. Please feel free top comment if you have any ideas!
