I did take the hiatus image out of my sig and that does mean my only method of informing many people of my art hiatus is now gone. Therefore, I have no right to b***h that people still want me to draw stuff.

There are some things I genuinely feel bad for rejecting but do on principle. I turned down a request from someone I genuinely like because of this. I feel terrible for it, but I hope she understands. And I also hope, if she reads this, that she doesn't think the following rant is directed at her.

There is someone who IMed me in February about the GMFC flatsale. Several times. Asking questions that had already been answered.

She also basically forced on me her character description, reference images, and her background. She asked me what I thought of them. Asked me if I would be able to draw them the way they are if she won. Asked me if I could include the lady's horse if she won. Asked me if I would draw character art not related to the flatsale. Asked me if I thought she had a chance in the flatsale.

Drove. Me. Nuts.

I did block her, and unblocked her after the flatsale.

The irony is that she didn't enter.

After unblocking her, she didn't IM me at all. Not a word. I forgot about her.

And then, today, I got an IM from her. She wanted me to draw something for her.

McJunyi: Absolutely not.
McJunyi: I'm on hiatus.

Excuse me. I don't take kindly to people only IMing me when they want something. I don't mind someone IMing me once off Gaia to ask me if I'd be willing to consider a commission (BUT NOT NOW PLEASE), and negotiating payment through that. That's what my IM is there for.

What I DON'T like is when people REPEATEDLY IM me only to ask things of me, and then go quiet when I refuse and then pull that stunt a month later.
